We want to know: What do YOU think makes a quality PoD? What factors make a photo worthy of being spotlighted?

Jerry Hazard = SWEEEEEEET!!! Liking the Hailes Trails pic as well. Love that trail system.
I think, a PoD – is a picture (with mountain bike and rider preferably) that motivates viewers to get outside and give their own bikes a ride…
Thanks stumpyfsr, that helps! But then I have a follow up question: what inspires you to get out and ride?
Well, mtbgreg1, I enjoy seeing scenic views (and taking pictures) in a remote locations and the most comfortable way to get there is by bike. Yeah, there’re still many trails I’d like to ride which are closed for bikes (Appalachian Trail, Continental Divide etc.) But most of singletracks doesn’t provide those spectacular views and I still like to ride there because of feel of speed, control, action, challenge and pure adrenaline instead of my blood. A satisfaction after clearing that obstacle I couldn’t go through for a weeks makes me smile and go there again and again.
And, of coarse, when there is a beautiful day out why should I stay inside and waist it on the sofa???
All of these pics inspire me to ride, though more action shots impress & inspire me a bit more.
Thanks for the input, guys!
I was thinking of maybe throw in a few grom action shots from time to time as well. Nothing like watching the groms shredding, but I also understand. They are our future ya know…LOL.
Hey Bonsai, if You have any good photos of groms shredding, please feel free to upload them here: http://www.singletracks.com/mountain-bike/photo-of-day.php If they are already uploaded here on Singletracks, feel free to email the relevant links to pod@singletracks.com so that we’re aware of them!
Awesome! Will do when I get the time. I had some, but not sure if they are still up. I know I have one of my son shredding a 12′ drop w/10′ gap, but I do not want to boast my sons skills…LOL. Thanks mtgreg1!
No problem man! Not sure if you saw it or not, but we did feature a photo of your son (I think) back at the beginning of december http://www.singletracks.com/mountain-bike/photo-of-day.php?id=58 as well as a couple other grom shots: http://www.singletracks.com/mountain-bike/photo-of-day.php?id=77 http://www.singletracks.com/mountain-bike/photo-of-day.php?id=103 … but we could always use more!!
Oh wow, I missed them, but I was in the hospital for the first half of December (two weeks), so thus why I missed them. Great shots of the groms I must say. Great to see our next generation with the love & passion for riding. Thank you mtbgreg1. I upload some soon.
