I was going to comment on retro-fitting a bite valve, but you and the other commenters beat me to it.  However, if I did this I&#039;d try to do it with parts from old packs.  The thought of spending $110 on a pack and another $30 to replace the whole bladder is not financially appealing to me.  Now, if you already have the Hyrdrapak...

My last pack had a flimsy valve so I pulled it out and replaced it with a valve from an old pack. The fit was pretty tight, but it worked! Hopefully it wouldn&#039;t take too much MacGuyver&#039;ing to get that one swapped.</description>
