CAMBA Gala Fundraiser August 22 Features Pig Roast, Local Beer, and Live Music

I’ll be honest: when I hear the word “gala” I usually imagine an event where mountain bikers are not welcome. But the Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA) folks are throwing a fundraising gala like none other August 22 at the historic Tin Roof Barn in Cable, WI. Tickets are $40 and proceeds go toward maintenance and development of the perennially excellent CAMBA trails.

The soirée will feature music by Americana band “Single Track Mind” from the Twin Cities with beer on tap from Angry Minnow Brewery in Hayward. There will be a pig roast for all to enjoy plus a silent auction and a presentation by Tim Kreuger of Advocate Cycles. The Seeley Lions Pre-Fat race will be held earlier in the day for those who want to make a day of it.

If you live nearby or regularly enjoy the CAMBA trails, this is your chance to contribute and to have a great time doing it! Oh, and save a pint of River Pig Ale for me. 🙂
