Anybody got some good ones? My current wallpaper is getting a little old. My screen resolution on my laptop is 1280 x 800. I’ll post my current one just for anybody whose interested.

And of course, I don’t take credit for this image, and unfortunately I don’t remember where I found it.

Nice, I like the first one. That is the decent to Horsethief Bench Loop from Mary’s Loop in Fruita- I didnt make it quite as far as he did before I decided it was a hike-a-bike!

Awsome links and pictures! Glad someone asked the question as I have been doing some searching but couldn’t find anything I liked. Now I have options.

There are some pretty cool photos and great quality too.

There are some very awesome pictures out there to use as wallpaper, however isn’t it best to make your own? Get yourself a cheap 5 megapixel or more digital camera and go out and make your own wallpaper. All my wallpaper has been taken on the trails I ride and with the people I ride with. It doesn’t get any better when someone asked where you got that picture and you reply, "I took that, let me tell you about it"…….

Here is what I have up right now, but I don’t know where I snagged it. I like ODN’s idea of creating my own though.

I get all my backgrounds from deviantart.com, I’m just not a good enough photographer myself.

This thread inspired me to change mine, so here it is:

I got to get a decent camera, anyone got a simple, inexspensive, but good digital they know takes good pics and has user freindly software??

    • #78754

kodak easy share…fits in a jersey pocket, takes decent pics.

My equip the last few years has always been Canon, I would recomend anything in the Powershot line up for a point & shoot, as long as it is at least 7 or 8 MP. If your looking for an SLR the field grows a lot and also becomes a lot more expensive.

Ive never found software that comes with a camera to be worth a dam. dont even download it. Windows will recognize and extract files from your camera or memory card as soon as you hook it up. Just set up some folders to store your pics in.

I still use Irfanview software for working on pics,it works just fine and it is free from various software sites (twocows, ect.).

y’all apparently missed the ‘inexpensive’ part of the question…

now that i’m not typing on my phone, here’s what my wife got for me (she uses a $600 SLR with a $200 lens)

      Kodak Easyshare

The included easyshare software works ok, but it’s a little abusive to your computer.
Shutterfly is awesome, especially if you want prints or an online gallery.
Paint.net is a free alternative to Adobe Photoshop.

Or you could get Photoshop for about the price of a low-end mountain bike. 😀

Anyway, the camera is lightweight and flat and fits great in a jersey pocket or camelbak. It has a rechargeable internal battery, and takes an SD memory card up to 16GB.

Almost all of the photos that I have posted here were taken with it.
      For example:

I use Windows Wallpaper Changer to automatically change my desktop every 15 minutes to a different picture that I have set up in a folder where I have all my best photos located. I never get board with the same picture and most people that come in my office always comments on which ever picture that happens to be showing up on my 21" flat panel…..keeps life interesting that is for sure…..good luck, 😎
