<p style=”text-align: left;”>So I bought some Easton Haven Handbars and Raceface Chester stem. The shop I ordered it from wants a bunch of money to install them, even though I specifically ordered it from them and paid more just to be loyal and help out a local business.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>

<p style=”text-align: left;”>So is it hard to do? Just loosen some bolts, tighten the new ones on the stem, and Im good right? No tricky parts, right?
-

Yep it is pretty easy, you can get a bunch of how to videos on utube as well. If they are carbon parts be sure to tighten them to torque specs, don’t over tighten. Also be sure to tighten the stem bolts that grab the bar evenly, you don’t want to pinch the stem onto the bar. Good luck!

The only issue that you may run into are the spacers on the steerer tube. When I got my Spank Spike race stem, I had to purchase some spacers to get the right stack height for it to fit. You may have to wait until your parts come in to do that (if doing yourself). However, the guys at the bike shop may or may not do it for free (depends if they have the spacers as spare parts on hand or not). All depends on them.
Other than that, triton189 hit it on the head. Real simple. I torque regardless of carbon or aluminum as well. Take care.
