Description
Meadow look is generally ridden CCW. Ride Meadow loop to Stacy's Loop. Meadow loop is mostly flat, open meadow and scrub brush. Stacy's Loop gets a a little more technical. Take a Right onto Stacy's Loop. Mike's Trails is a little more difficult. Right onto Mike's Trail. Get a little altitude here - gives a good view of the meadow. Now with the junction with Cuchillo Trail. I opted a Right turn. This was a steep trail. Probably should have taken the Left. Cuchillo takes you back to Meadow Loop and the Horse Gulch gravel road.

Review: Well organized network of loops and connectors that allow you to create rides of any length your legs desire. Started in Horse Gulch and finished at Carbon Junction (made for @ 15 miles of sweet singletrack!).

Review: Excellent trail system--something for everyone--easily accessible from town. I found the Meadow Loop to be uninspiring, but it was quite popular and should put a smile on a cross country racer or more mellow rider's face. I found the real fun to be up on the ridge, with its long, rocky, technical ride and views off both sides and the fantastic gnarly lines plummeting back down to the valley.

Review: Great trails to get a taste for Durango riding. A little something for all abilities. Good idea to ride with someone that knows the best combo of trails to get the most out of the ride.* Review edited 10/9/2011

Review: Great network of trails. Meadow Loop is fast singletrack, Extended Ridge is great technical riding.

Review: Good mix of terrain from fast and smooth to steep and technical. Killer location right in town and miles of trail to explore.

Similar Trail: Parts remind me of Palmer Park in CO Springs and Hartman Rocks in Gunnison.
