Description: From the parking area, ride up jeep road to top of ridge. Connect on Mary's Loop doubletrack. Pass Mack Ridge on right and Moore Fun on left at top of ridge. Follow Mary's doubletrack past Lions Loop singletrack on right. Take the next right on doubletrack. This doubletrack ends with a drop of singletrack down to the next bench. The singletrack follows along the edge of the rim along the Colorado River. Very scenic. Trail returns near the begining of the doubletrack (end of Handcuffs), or continue along rim (Steve's Loop). This trail can be connected with Mary's Loop, Lions Loop, or any other area trail for a longer ride. Great views of the river.

Much like the other rides in the Kokopelli Trail system, Steve's loop provides an interesting set of challenges. Climb up the Mary's loop ascent from the Loma parking lot. Drop into Steve's Loop and enjoy a fast singletrack with a smaller amount of technical sections than the other trails in this system. Outside of the Mary's Loop section you have to ride before Steve's Loop, I would compare this trail to some of the beginner or early intermediate trails in the area. The most technical parts of this trail is actually on Marys loop's back side as you approach Steve's Loop. I would recommend riding back down Mary's Loop the same way you came for a slightly longer, but different ride.

Add Steve's Loop to another longer ride or ride it as a lollipop with Mary's Loop. Fast in places, a few technical parts, great views overlooking the Colorado River.

Absolutely beautiful. Smooth rolling singletrack that skirts the rim of a canyon. A couple of technical sections keep you honest but most of this ride is relaxing. Very cool.

Steve's Loop/Handcuffs is the very definition of "Sweet Singletrack." Sometimes buff, sometimes technical, always entertaining. The geology is quite unique as well as very picturesque. It's impossible to imagine anybody not falling in love with this ride!

Similar Trail: Anything off the Loma exit.
