The Skipper trail is a 1.4 mile narrow rolling singletrack that connects Buck Gulch to Strawberry_Jack/Homestead in the Buffalo Creek network. The trail goes thru the Hi Meadow burn area so you'll get a good look at the fire damage and the recovering vegetation. The trail builders left zero log crossing in the trail. Because all the trees burned, there is get very little shade on the ride. There is one creek crossing that offers a change of pace from rolling thru the downed trees. The creek banks provide the the only real technical obstacles on the trail.
