Review: Wow! Most difficult trail I have ever ridden. Often I complain that a trail doesn't have enough elevation change. This trail is the opposite! I was tried out within the 1st two miles. Really a great trail...if you are in shape.

Review: Seven Oaks, IA is headquarters for Boonecrusher Adventure Race. The 12-hour course is a USARA National Qualifier Adventure Race. I bet the Seven Oak single track is part of the race -- this is the best single track in Midwest! boonecrusher.com -- check it out

Review: Very technical with small hills. Lots of switchbacks with exposed roots/rocks throughout. Some very narrow sections for clearance between trees.* Review edited 5/10/2011 Added some photos. Trail has dried out nicely. Two bridges still need to be added but the streams are crossable on foot (about ankle deep.) There are some very nice flowing sections after the first crossing and some "great" hillclimbs after the second. The trails aren't marked very well, but if you always head left or straight, you'll get the full 7 miles in. Hopefully I'll remember to get pictures of the actual trail next time instead of just "direction" pictures.

Review: Just got back into riding and some friends took me up to this trail - about 45 min from DSM. Lots(!) of short climbs but well worth the effort because you forget you're in Iowa. They hold multiple races on this trail including a 24 hour race. Get your endurance up before attacking this trail.

Review: I agree with the previous review, great singletrack that is semi techinal w/ relentless short climbs. The thing that makes this trail is that it's not a Mnt bike park, it has the feel of being in the back country, and in Iowa that's hard to find. They have also made the trail longer, I found it to be a little over 10 miles. I drove from C.R and will do it again * Review edited 5/21/2007* Review edited 10/2/2007

Review: Some of the best singletrack in Iowa. On the backside of the 7 Flags Ski Park. Many short climbs that will wear on you with some semi technical switch backs. Try racing on this for 24 hours in the fall.
