Description: I usually hit trailhead right off Brink Road and work my way on the blue/black trail that runs along the creek. This section is the Greenway trail and can connect you over to the other side near Clopper road. These trails are nice and smooth with some technical rocky stuff thrown in there as well. If you use this trailhead, I would go to the left on the blue trail and work your way down to the black. Take the black trail down and work your way down on that. It will feel like you are heading back to the trailhead, but it takes you down the other side of the mountain. There are lots of places to go from there and you can even work your way out to the open field if you want to. The trails are a nice ride if you are looking to get the legs pumping and heartbeat up a little bit. It's a lot of fun riding around these trails and you can do either a short or long ride depending on your mood. Enjoy! Same as Seneca Creek State Park, see other review. Rated for beginners and family mountain biking around the lake.

Decided to check it out Wednesday afternoon, 14 Oct 09. Got to the trailhead and it started raining pretty hard and steady. Diceded to check it out anyways. Messed around on a shorter singletrack loop around Clopper Lake. Pretty good for the beginner. It has a little bit of everything, some easy climbs (that were not so easy, because I got out of shape after the Army), some medium decents, bridged creek crossings, roots, logs. Overall pretty good. I didnt stay long because it started to rain even harder, but will definitely come back!

This trail is near my house and is a great hidden trail. I think this trail can be around 15 miles long of riding total and maybe more. If you want some good hills and great training grounds, park off the parking lot on watkins mill, head down the street where you go over the bridge torwards up the hill and take left. It looks like a driveway. Trailhead is on right once you enter driveway. You definitely get a good workout. It's around 4.5 miles round trip. After coming back from this trail, we usually go back to parking lot and follow trail at parking lot. This leads up one large hill and then into open field. Cross brink rd and head to other side for another 10 miles. This is not as diffucult as other side but decent enough long ride. There are couple of good climbing sections here too. I think you enjoy this as I have ridden trails throughout maryland and virginia and baltimore and this is nice trail.
