Description: This trail offers some obstacles such as logs and rock gardens that will challenge beginners, but overall is very ridable. The Kentucky woods and the opportunity to visit the cave make it a worthwhile destination. It is also enjoyed by equestrians, so steer clear of the green mud.

i love this only great backwoods trail in Mammoth Cave National park, but...as of September 1 2011 we can no longer use this trail, they are giving it to the horses as with all the other back country trails, i dont understand why they cant leave us with one trail when the horses have so many trails in the park. i hope everyone will write to the park and complain and maybe they will let us have it back. there are 2 caves and a sinkhole to see and the beauty of the forest it breathtaking especally in the fall.

Great trail. The first part is a very fast flowing singletrack. Its a beautiful trail with some pretty hard climbs. There is also a pretty rough rock garden. When we rode the trail we took the fire road out and the total mileage was just under 12 miles to the trail head and back. This is another favorite for me.
