Description: The Lansing area has a limited amount to biking trails, so the Rose Lake trail is a nice place to ride that's close by.
It's short at only 4 miles, but you can do multiple loops or once you get comfortable with the main loop, there are many loops that spur off and come back that can add on to the mileage.
The trail is sandy in a lot of areas with mostly single track. There are multiple trails that cross the main loop so you should take a map or follow the GPS track to get familiar with the trail.
The trail is a multi-use trail. You'll share the trail with hikers, dog walkers and horse back riders, so please be courteous.

Not sure what connas is talking about, he loves this trail and then bashed burchfield... i rode on this trail for hours begging for something exciting on it. It's basically miles of unmarked, unkempt, 4 ft diameter singletrack, a gazillion fox trails that lead to nowhere, and like 3 obstacles to overcome. I've ridden a decent amount of trails and this is by far the worst i've ridden. If your in the area and you want to do some decent riding, go to anderson or burchfield, if you want to go for a hike or walk your dog, this park could work. No idea how you can compare this to pontiac lake, pontiac lake is way out of it's league. It's a pretty park, but just not a good fit for mountain biking.
