Description
Miles and miles of twisty, curvy, up & down singletrack. Not much on the technical tip, but the scenery is a nice compromise.

Review: A couple of things after seeing the other reviews: 1.) This is a world-class trail 2.) When the F-trail is followed correctly, it is 99% singletrack 3.) Go early in the morning to avoid the hikers- they love this trail, too- and enjoy the sun pouring rays through the trees in the mist... Ride over creeks, past waterfalls, and through caves. Can't be beat. To ride with an english-speaking group, contact the area-local KMC Cycling club by visiting their forum site. Good group of folks.

Review: I haven't ridden this trail yet, but it is part of the Mountainbikepark Pfalzerwald. So, of course it is legal to ride on. www.mountainbikepark-pfaelzerwald.de

Review: I just want to dispel the rumor that Mountain Bikes are not allowed on this trail. This is completely and totally NOT TRUE. There are certain places in Germany that do have such restrictions but Rheinland Pfalz is not one of them. This comes from the president of the Rodalben Mountain biking club. He says that mountain bikers are allowed on any of their trails in the Area. But he doesnt mind that the Americans think this is a rule, as it tends to keep the number of riders on the 'F' trail to a minimum allowing more local riders to have the trail to themselves. Bottom line, this stupid rumor is UNTRUE. So get out and ride!!

Review: This is by far the best singletrack we've found in Germany so far. After traveling to Wurzberg, Nuremberg, and all over Bavaria to so called "singletracks" this was the first to fulfill it's promise. I biked the F trail with 2 guys who have been riding advanced level tracks all over Honduras and the west coast of the US. We all agreed that this was not very technical but provided some great climbs, fun rock and stair hops, and some decent downhills. Recommend it and the first Gausthof on the left on the way into town!

Review: Very fun singletrack. In this area, MTB's are banned from trails less then 2m wide however, as with most trails, if you dismount and give way to hikers, all seems fine. The "f" trail is the one to ride here. Plenty of roller coaster sections, rocks and roots. Awesome if you have a 5-6 inch trail bike.

Review: Sweet trail all around. Great scenery good climbs, but not hard, very narrow trail at times and keeps you on your toes.

Review: Not the hardest trail ever but a great ride for a Sunday afternoon. Some long climbs but over all a nice rolling trail with some good down hills

Review: The trail is 54 kilometers with 1140 meters in climbs, 10 kilometers paved road, 13 kilometers of forest double track, 21 kilometers gravel trail, and 10 kilometers of single track. This is a great area to ride in, with great views. At the highest peak, you can see all the way into neighboring France.

Review: I am not certain, but I was told that Baden-Wurtenberg was the only state in Germany that banned Mountain bikes from paths less than 2meters wide. The others do not have such restrictions. Can someone confirm or dispell this

Review: This is a great trail system. I have been on it tree times so far, and it is still fun. Very easy to get to. Only problem is that it is illegal for MTBs. However, if you get off of your bike and walk past the hikers, they will not say anything to you. Make sure you stop at the restuarant mid way through the ride for a beer and a brat.
