Description: There is a map of the park at the trailhead. If you begin to suspect youmay have lost the trail, turn around immediately because no good can come of it. Stay on the extablished trail. The game trails will leaf you in to disaster and a lot of hard work getting back. There is quite a lot of technically challenging singletrack in the park.

One of my most fun rides, I love it. I just rode it 12/5/11 with a good friend. ALWAYS have fun in rockville, rides for every level. Hve fun, be safe.

Similar Trail: maybe Skyline in Napa. At least some parts.

It's in my backyard, but I would definately recommend Rockville for every level of Mountain Biker. I just rode it a week ago with my brother-in-law and although at our level we probably shouldn't have tried the Rock Garden trail - we did and survived! Everything's here for beginner to advanced.

Rockville is the best park/area, in the East Bay, that you can ride to develop, hone, and recall bike handling skills. No big climbs, and plenty of non-technical, and yet, ride the technical stuff, it'll make you much better, and more confident bike handler! This is not the place to get in shape for racing, it's the place to build skills, have fun, and hang with friends.

One of my favorite spots to ride. great views.. has something for every rider tech, uphill downhill, and some flat land.trails run everywhere, 2 small ponds lots of Rockie outcroppings..cool area. cost $3 bucks takes cash and credit cards.

I and my brother rede rockville today. We are both beginners to the sport. so I was little worried at first. But this spot has something for every level of riders. There is going to be a lot of climbing, but the descents are fun. I did fall once at the rock garden. But that was due to me getting carried away with fun and be less cautious.

I love Rockville. It ias everything, from flowy single track, fire road climb to a long stretch of rock garden. I can pretty say I can clear all the long climbs there. But certain sections of the rock garden are still too damn hard. They are good for practicing your skill. Rockville rocks....

LOL....I think this is why I found this trail to be so technical and difficult because we both had never been there and after hitting the summit we quickly went from established trail to lost and wound up in the trees and bushes fighting our way back up the mountain. It was very difficult. Stay on the marked trails here! I'll go back and see how I do the 2nd time before giving up on this place....

Rode this spot today for the first. I'm still realitively new to the sport and found this spot to be pretty tough in spots due to the rocks and downhill speeds. For my taste it's a bit too technical and way too much ruts and rocks. The downhills were steep and the rocks everywhere, but there was fun to be had out there. For me it's not my fav spot, but it's worth checking out. I'd say it's not for beginners though....pretty easy to take big spills.

Similar Trail: I prefer the speed and lines of something like China Camp.

Lots of rock gardens and technical challenges that can go from easy to 'make sure your life insurance is up to date'. That being said there is plenty of fire road with easy climbs to enjoy if you don't like tech. There is a $3 use fee and they do check. Bring your dollar bills!

I really like this park. It has some really rocky technical trails and some really good rolling singletrack. Its agood ride to keep you busy for a good 5 hours.

I've only been riding for a year so this place was a nice introduction into mountain biking. I here Briones had a lot of climbs so I opted for this one. Went there on a Fri bout 9am and saw only 3-4 other riders there. Went through the gate and took a right instead of going up the main road. Rode some nice rolling single track for about 10 minutes with minimal climbing and ended up the bottom of a fire trial, took it up, then down to the bottom the of parking lot. Rode the trail bout 3 times and I was satisfied. Nothing techinical but ill keep goin to build some more basic skills.

It's Ok for a after work ride or you are short on time. Did everything and only got 15+ in. Do like to go up and down creek bed from top. pretty tame for the most part but htere is some fun stuff.

This is a relatively small park with tons of intertwining trails. supposedly you could do 30 miles here w/out overlapping. there\'s a lot of fire road if you want that, but there are a lot of technical sections. many rock gardens, stair step downhills, switchbacks, and just some tricky downhill stuff. this is a good place to come practice your technical riding skills. lots of little rocky climbs to practice your balance or downhill braking skills in the rocks. my first two big crashes were here, caught the bars on a tree in a rock garden, breaking my lever, and i went tumbling down the hill. and the other one was in feb w/ fog and wet ground, was on an off camber downhill and ran over a moss covered rock slab and went for a slide down the hill.
