Description: We have some friends from Virginia that moved here. They were looking for some Singletrack riding. We read that PantherCreek had some trails. We took off on our 45 min. ride not knowing what to expect. To our surprise, the trails we great. Not too rooty, with just the right amount of hills. Our friends said that it was better than the trails they rode in Virginia. We will ride there agian as soon as we can.

Short but well designed fun trail. Would rate it as a beginners intro to single-track. Mostly rolling trail with a few rocky sections and some roots, with the Trout Lily trail being the most technical area. That said more advanced riders will still like this trail, just go faster and ride over the bigger rocks. The Panther Path and Wagon Road Trails are mostly flat and easy, populated by kids and joggers, leaving about 7-8 miles of fun single-track. Ride it once or twice in each Dir. Also take a ride up to the overlook (view worth the sweat). Just watch your downhill speed, SHARP CURVE at bottom. If I hadn't had to smoke the brakes for a motorcycle doing the 15 MPH speed limit, I'd be typing this from the road rash/ broken bone place. (GPS said I was doing 40 MPH).

This set of trails will give you a moderate workout.Very nice climbs through the forest, with a couple of fun downhill sections-nothing major though.Great for beginner ad it isn't technical.Good for intermediates because of the moderate climbs and relaxing forest scenery

This is a great trail system. Beware of the tecnical rocks at the bottom of Trout Lilly. Pioneer Trail was my fav, we have ridden Dark Mnt and OVT quite a bit and I like Pioneer better. If u have the chance check them out.

Similar Trail: Dark Mnt

This an excellently maintained (possibly under-used) trail system; I've been riding it for years. Overall the trail is easy for the semi-experienced rider, not too tough for a novice either, with some tough spots here and there to get your heart rate up, or challenge your technical skills. And if you squeeze every last bit of trail the park has to offer, you can log in the area of 12 to 14 miles of riding before you've done it all. I recommend if you want to get in some extra hill work, that you incorporate the paved hill to the overlook, into your ride. Yes, it's paved, but you won't find many comparable hills in that area, especially that already right next to the trail. Being as this trail is in a park, it's a great place to take the family and even the dog, if you're trying to kill two birds with one stone, get in some family time, AND get in a quick ride!

Similar Trail: Haw Ridge, TN.

A nice series of trails. not to hard but like the ability to string the different trails together to suit your needs for the day.
