Description: Intermediate ride with some good climbing. I rode the loop clockwise, but I got the feeling that most go the other direction. The trail is fairly well marked, but I got off track a few times. If confused just stay on the most used looking trail and lood for knobby tire tracks. This is a popular equestrian trail too so be on the lookout for horses. It was also fairly muddy this time of year which can be quite a mess when you throw horses into the mix. Probably best to ride in June or later, however, the wildflowers were really in blume.

pretty flat over all. compared to other trails near by. rode it for the first time last week. gonna be doing a 50 mile in a month on this trail. not too technical. but a great ride

Fun and fast. Home to a couple of Auburn area races. Very, very tough climb half way through the loop with a couple of creek crossing. Horses are ubiqitous, taking a serous toll on the condition of the trail so be careful.

Similar Trail: Forresthill Divide Loop, Clementine Loop.

Fun trail. Bunch of decent climbs and some fun, ripping downhills. LOTS of horses, as its a mainly equestrian trail. First Sacramento equestrian trail that was opened to bikes, so be respectful. If you ride this in the winter, and crash, remember to keep your mouth closed, or you'll be tasting horse for the next week!

A very popular equestrian trail indeed. This trail was started by a local Bike Shop owner as a place as a multi-use trail. Generally speaking the equestrian folks are freindly. Just communicate and yield if they desire. A couple of really steep rocky downhill sections, and some nice views.
