I've heard that this trail has been clear cut recently, at least partially. This is very unfortunate because it is, at least the way I remember it, my favorite place to ride. Of course I am biased as I used to live within walking distance and spent a lot of my free time there. In fact, I have spent countless days riding here and with what I have learned, I feel like I can ride nearly any trail with total confidence. Yes, many of the obstacles are in less than good condition, and some were built by people who clearly don't understand geometry or how nails work. However, if you know the flow of the trail (you will need a native to show you) it is without doubt one of the best technical trails in the Triad, perhaps even the state. I have heard many complaints: the layout is confusing, obstacles are delapidated, the flow is short and choppy. But you will NEVER ride here and say "Well that was just too easy!". And that is exactly the point.

Only part of the trail was cleared. And the part that is cleared has already been worked on by the "trail gnomes" to start making some open type trail. Could be fun and something different for this area since 98% of the singletrack around the triad is in the woods. Still some good wooded singletrack still left though.

This trail was amazing. Unfortunately, all of the trees have been clear cut and destroyed for its wood thanks to the local government. Has anyone heard of recycling? This was environmental terrorism.

Fun system of trails. There are some crazy jumps and technical areas. We really enjoyed the elevated bridge on the other side of the creek.

I find it very hard to believe that anyone could grow bored on these network of trails. I am by no means an expert at this sport but I am brave enough to try most stunts. The stunts on this trail are insane! I would love to see the individuals that go off most of the jumps on these trails. Seriously I would love to watch! So contact me and let me know when you are headed out there so I can witness these amazing feats! Besides being confusing, rough, strenuous, and nearly impossible to do allot of the climbs with out a motor on your bike! These network of trails leads you through beautiful territory. It has a gorgeous creek that runs along a great deal of it which offers a gorgeous place for a rest. This trail is nearly impossible for me to do while on my bike, but I have been there three times this week already! I absolutely love it, and I am determined to be one of those you are able to get bored of it!

Fairly technical trail with jumps, dropoffs, bridges pretty hilly; some structures need maintenance, others have been built recently. I actually do trail running on MBT. I ran this today and most bridges and structures are in descent shape but proceed with caution because there are a few which feel as if they may collapse soon, although a good many have been updated with new lumber. A map would be very helpful (maybe on premium membership, idk) but I got tottaly lost and had to exit through an adjoining neighborhood (running through someone's back yard lol) and run back to the school. Still, very awesome, just wish I knew my way around.

I plan to ride this trail for the first time today. I see many of you say it's in bad shape so I'll be cautious, maybe if I like it I will do some maintenance in the future.

This is my favorite trail i have ridden. But its where i usually go because i only live a mile or two away.Lots of bridges and drops but once you master every thing it can get a bit boring. Me and some friends ride every saturday. you can come ride to, ill be wearing a bright red helmet and riding my green and white kona howler. Have fun, and keep riding.

This Trail was very fun to ride if you are just looking for a few hours to just go for a free ride. The trails are not marked very well and I about couldnt find my way out but you will eventually figure them out. I went one friday morning and parked in the guest parking lot at the elementry school and rode my bike to the back side of the school where all the children were playing on the play ground. Alot of the bridges and stunts looked old but most of them are still ok to use. I think there was only one bridge that I had to go around.

This trail is becoming my new "home trail" since it is about 3 miles from work. Only problem is that school is back in and I get off of work about 3 or 3:30, so kids might still be there and don't want to wait 2 hours to ride....anyway. Most of the stunts end in roll downs, I can't say exactly for that picture, depending on when it was taken, that particular stunt may not even be there anymore. It can be a great place, and I am still finding sections (though I don't try many of them myself). They are fun, but I will warn you, a lot of the stuff is not as sturdy as it used to be.

i was wondering if anyone had any pics of any of the big north shores here or are they all small? Also what does the last pic in #3 end in (drop, roll rown or what)

First thing, I have some ability, but not an advanced rider by any means. I thought this trail was a lot of fun, even though it is very confusing for someone who has not been on the trail before. Trail markers would be nice or if someone put together a map at least. Some posts have said there is a flow, but I couldn’t find it (maybe after a few more rides). Bridges, ladders, teeter, logs, skinnys, jumps. A LOT of stunts as said in previous posts. Some do look in deplorable condition, but check them out, most are “rideable”. A few friends and I explored every trail we could find and features pop up everywhere. This trail is not like Owl's Roost. Go to have fun, explore, and test your ability. Cannot wait to go again!

These trails are awsome. It takes a while to get the flow of them. Great workout.

I would call this a 50-50 trail, I don't know what to make of it. When it is good, it is REALLY GOOD, but when it is bad... you get the picture. The track for the most part is very nice and flowing with some good hills that can be tamed with some good leg-pumping work. Just be careful, there are a few places where the trail washes, and normally there would be a bridge, but the trail-makers decided to put jumps, and if you don't make the jump.....it could hurt. The stunts could be nice, but as others have posted, they are old and not well taken care of. That is why it is a 50-50 trail, it has potential to be a great trail, but as it is, (until you have ridden it quite a few times) you have to stop a lot and check if that bridge will hold or the wood is not too rotten. I guess I can't complain, this is a private trail as in it is not kept up by the parks and recreations dept. or by the fat tire society. We just need to fix it ourselves. If anyone is interested, drop me an e-mail on here and let me know. If we split the cost or if anyone has access to free lumber, maybe bolts or something, we could get a group together and it would not take much time or money. We could make it a great trail.

Technical but horribly marked. A very confusing ride for a first timer.

Not a ride for beginners. I admit some of the areas were over my abilities, but many of the bridges, ramps, etc are in very dangerous condition (bridge rungs broken, not anchored down, lots of exposed screw heads, etc), keep a sharp eye out on this one or you'll end up bleeding worse than usual. I also agree that it is very easy to get lost here. Maybe the elves could've taking a little effort to mark the intersections, but maybe they intended it to be intemidating for the faint of heart.

I went out there a couple of times last year, as it's one of the closer trails to my home. There ARE a lot of trails there but generally it's a mess and easy to get lost. VERY easy. I suspect these are mostly illegal. There are some stunts that look like they're ready to fall down. I could have a lot of fun here if I knew my way around.

The trail is full of technical drop offs and even a log bridge... if you know where to look. Once you find the free ride section of the woods, it is nothing but techincal siwtch backs and man made bridges. If anyone needs directions once in the woods let me know.

Very tight and technical trail with many permutations. Fun but very challenging, allow for a few spills. Not sure who built it, but there is quite a bit of obstacle/bridge work and design. It may be private land/course , so be respectful if you choose to ride here. And be careful.
