Trail Description
About this trail
Very fast and fun single track maintained by Ocala Mountain Bike Association. It has a main yellow loop with good flow and blue options throughout. This is an intermediate trail due to it's speed and some tight spaces. It is very shaded and there are some amazing trees throughout. The Red section is steep with some fast switchbacks and sudden drops. Lots of fun with a little of something for most. If you go to the Lincoln community park and go to the dog park the trail entrance is on the far end.

Review: Wow what a fun trail. I am from AZ and not used to riding in dense forest and dodging trees! Love the wooden features and banked turns. Thanks to all that maintain this system. Only got to do a lap and a half as my rear shock gave out, but I would have stated all day

Review: This is a fun trail, with plenty of potential. Knew I was going to be in the Orlando area, and wanted to give this place a try.

For every downhill run, there's an uphill to get your legs moving. The signature feature has to be the wooden drop. At first glance it's a bit intimidating. Your best bet is to take a quick look, and just attack it. Reminds be of the new wooden drop feature at Santos. Lean back and don't tap your brakes.

This is a fun trail to hit on the way to Santos or another trail. Not the type of trail to hit on a weekend and feel completely satisfied.

Thumbs up to the builders/volunteers. I'm sure I'll be back on my way up north.

Review: Haven't been here in exactly one year because its almost an hour from home and didn't think last year it was really worth it. Went out again with some friends a couple days ago and wow what a difference a year makes! GREAT work by OMBA crew. Expanded trails, great manicuring of the features, and awesome flow. Runs a little slow because there are many great twists and turns. Its a real test of balance and maneuvering, plus a good leg workout if you crank through without stopping. Its built on the down slope forest area between the civic park and the main road, and its actually quite steep, so as a result there are very few level sections...its all up and down, some being surprisingly steep. Florida Flo (med)and Helter Skelter (hard) are where its at. Helter Skelter has been renovated to be a smoother ride but is still very tight and technical, a good challenge similar to IMBA Red at Santos, I think a bit harder...and much shorter. Dense forest throughout, you'll smack some branches and duck limbs and dodge tree trunks. Your view is limited in most areas to 20-30ft, some more, some less.

I'd say the trail system length is around 3 miles but you can go around and around all day and won't get bored...it actually gets more fun as you learn the trail and tackle the technical bits better each time. This trail system is right next to the Dog Park in Mt Dora. If you look up the Dog Park in Google maps it'll take you right there.

Review: Great trail system and worth the drive from Jacksonville, especially if you can hit Chuck Lennon on the way home too. Has one of the best downhill runs in FL!! There is a fun downhill in Helter Skelter section, but the one I liked most is in the SE section of the trail. Fairly short (maybe a couple hundred yards?) but has a nice flow with fairly big berms so you can hold your speed.

Overall would rate the trail just over a 4. Thanks for the upkeep and great work out here trail crew!!

Review: As always the guys stay busy keeping the trail fresh. Saturday I guess they finished a new wooden 'drop in' and it seems that they added a few blue trails on the upper end. Helter Skelter is now open again though it needs about a weeks worth of traffic to get to full speed. Very fun and tight trail.

Review: We ride this trail often as it is close to home. Whoever maintains this trail does an excellent job! There have been quite a few changes made and trails added even in last 6 weeks! Chicken Biscuit has been open for about 2 months I believe and a new blue trail has been added at the 'peak of the trail' along the Hwy 441 side. This is a new access to the wood berm and has some very nice bermed turns. The people that work on this trail should be commended....very sharp. Now you can make roughly a 3 mile run one time through without even hitting Helter Skelter.

Review: This is a smaller trail system maintained by OMBA the club that maintains the Santos trails. There is a good mix of Green, Blue and Red loops but only around 3.2 miles of trail. (though it is possible I missed some. I did miss an option or two on Helter Skelter)

The trail is a lot of fun and has some great little climbs and downhills. You wont find extended downhills or climbs like this anywhere around the Central Florida (Orlando) area to my knowledge.
