Very fast and fun single track maintained by Ocala Mountain Bike Association. It has a main yellow loop with good flow and blue options throughout. This is an intermediate trail due to it's speed and some tight spaces. It is very shaded and there are some amazing trees throughout. The Red section is steep with some fast switchbacks and sudden drops. Lots of fun with a little of something for most. If you go to the Lincoln community park and go to the dog park the trail entrance is on the far end.

Review: Great trail system and worth the drive from Jacksonville, especially if you can hit Chuck Lennon on the way home too. Has one of the best downhill runs in FL!! There is a fun downhill in Helter Skelter section, but the one I liked most is in the SE section of the trail. Fairly short (maybe a couple hundred yards?) but has a nice flow with fairly big berms so you can hold your speed.

Overall would rate the trail just over a 4. Thanks for the upkeep and great work out here trail crew!!

Review: As always the guys stay busy keeping the trail fresh. Saturday I guess they finished a new wooden 'drop in' and it seems that they added a few blue trails on the upper end. Helter Skelter is now open again though it needs about a weeks worth of traffic to get to full speed. Very fun and tight trail.

Review: We ride this trail often as it is close to home. Whoever maintains this trail does an excellent job! There have been quite a few changes made and trails added even in last 6 weeks! Chicken Biscuit has been open for about 2 months I believe and a new blue trail has been added at the 'peak of the trail' along the Hwy 441 side. This is a new access to the wood berm and has some very nice bermed turns. The people that work on this trail should be commended....very sharp. Now you can make roughly a 3 mile run one time through without even hitting Helter Skelter.

Review: This is a smaller trail system maintained by OMBA the club that maintains the Santos trails. There is a good mix of Green, Blue and Red loops but only around 3.2 miles of trail. (though it is possible I missed some. I did miss an option or two on Helter Skelter)

The trail is a lot of fun and has some great little climbs and downhills. You wont find extended downhills or climbs like this anywhere around the Central Florida (Orlando) area to my knowledge.

Review: Lots of elevation changes. I think some of the longest climbs you can get south of Gainesville. Helter Skelter is a good advanced trail fun to rip down the extended downhill part. It can get really overgrown this time of year but they do an excellent job trying to keep all the grass and weeds back.

Review: Nice trail! Conditions very depending on the time of year, much like all of florida mtb trails. Its fast and keeps ya busy all the time! Its best to ride it a few days after a nice rain, cause thats when the turns are nice and hardpacked, also it gives time for the local trail crew to clean debris up!

Review: Just went here for the first time, NOTE: the directions from this website take you to another park about 2 miles from the actual trails, you actually need to park at the dog park at the addresss "1550 E 11th Ave
Mt Dora, FL 32757
" and the trailhead is right there. Hopefully someone can add this address to the description so others do not make the same mistake, as well as another guy that the had the same problem as me.

Review: I took my family here for the first time today. The trail is fun. I couldn't go as fast as the trail's potential because it's just that time of year and there is a lot of leaf-litter on the trail. However, I'm looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks. Even the Blue sections are nice for a beginner, but also have some fun snakey, well banked esses on a couple of downhills. They have attempted to make some terrain as well with a bank, but the radius and bank are all wrong, it's too steep and too tight leading to way too much compression on the bike. Other than that, the trail is very pretty and today the smell of orange blossoms were in the air. It's light sand over clay on most places. I could see it being rather slippery when wet.

Review: The Mount Dora trail is a great trail to ride. I just went there last weekend for the first time and it has a lot to offer. The trail is smooth and offers good flow due to the elevation changes you wouldn't expect to find in Florida. It also has side trails that split off and provide a bit more technical sections. A few of the climbs definitely had me out of breath, but hey I'm probably just out of shape. Overall it is a great trail, almost no sugar sand, well marked, and well maintained.

Review: Thought this trail was just a neighborhood trail park, with all the neighborhood kids riding it and generally making a nuisance of themselves Yelling, screaming, no helmets..sheesh. BUT then I found the little gem that made the 45 minute ride out there worth it...Helter Skelter. This looks like a new trail just cut but its a slick little ride..tight, steep, switchbacks...you'll test your legs and your balance skills on this one. Kinda short but can't complain..just keep going on it to get it down. Its like a short Santos IMBA Red. Its not marked from the trailhead yet so just go far left at the trailhead sign for a bout 100yds and you'll find it.

Similar Trail: Chuck Lennon. Helter Skelter is like Santos IMBA RED
