During the summer, this is national forest campground in a basin/valley below the highway. There's a short gravel road (road 231) leading to the campground that would be bike-legal during the summer, but really this place wouldn't be worth a summer trip. However, during the winter, the snowmobiles take over and pack in a large, unmarked network of winter trails in and around this area. If you want to explore those trails, there's miles of riding to be done!
However, this place is also a great spot for an intro to fat biking. The basic road, 231, leading to the campground has a slight grade to it, but it's wide, a very mild climb, and offers great views of the surrounding area. While the basic road isn't very long, this is a great spot to dip your toes into fat biking if you're not really sure what to expect.
