Description
This is a GREAT trail! It has many switch backs, creek crossings, and washboards. This trail is the best I've ridden in SC.

Review: Great trail! It does need some maintenance, but nothing major. In my opinion, the few times I had to "hike a bike" did not take away from my experience. Great, tight (very tight in some place) single track, creek crossings, limited climbing, and great flow. Would have given trail 5 stars if not for the small maintenance issues.

Review: Midlands SORBA has been working on these trails and they are becoming ridable again. A few new blowdowns on the trail still need to be moved. A few more work days and this great technical trail system should good to go. If you are interested in helping out contact Midlands SORBA on Facebook or at midlandssorba@gmail.com

Review: Update: Midlands SORBA had a work day here on 4/14/12, so should be back to good. Trail has a ton of potential, but is currently not suitable for biking..trees down everywhere, and not trees capable of hopping..and of course in places that have best potential of having a good flow. trail also seems to simply disappear at times, to be picked up across gravel road or just hope for the best...beat suited for and being mostly used by hikers and obviously horses..phew. Go to harbison, k3 in Sumter, or make the drive to FATS

Review: I thought it was great. Plenty of riding. Will start riding there on a regular basis. The trails have been clear of the fallen trees.

Review: 1st and last time here until some major trail work is completed. The trails is all singletrack with many tight corners, a few creek crossings and way to many trees across the path. A few trees are great but the area needs some cleaning up. Lots of branches at eye level. No fast runs.

Review: this trail really stinks. i found it extremely boring, crammed, and unnatural. The trail starts less than 1/8 mile away from a major highway and you can hear road noise from the trails.

Review: I found this trail to be narrow with a decent flow to it. There are some downed trees so you either have to try and hop over them at the expense of your chainrings or walk around them. The climbs aren't that difficult, but some of them are rooty, so if there has been a recent rain those sections will be slick. The trails were all marked at the begining with signs letting you know which were hike/bike and horse only. Once in the trails, there were some parts that deinitely could use some work.

Review: As reviewed by others train was poorly marked. Trail also poorly maintained as there was many downed trees that need to be removed. Those two aside this single track is a good ride. Have been riding Harbison for three years and this was a challenging ride. Not too technical. Would be a great singletrack if marked better and maintained

Review: Had the day off from work so I figured I'd go ride a new trail. Glad I picked Lynches woods. This trail is a lot of fun. Kinda technical, but not too difficult. Lots of ups-n-downs, but long climbs. Few small creek crossings. Very tight twisting single-track. Very good use of the terrain being that the park does not seem to be all that big. I have to agree with the other reviewers when they say that the trail is not that well marked. it crosses the Palmetto trail and horse trails several times and I had to guess which way was correct. Will be back soon to ride again. Would also make a good day hike.

Review: This trail is great! Be prepared for some fast descents, some technical climbs, water crossings very tight twisty singletrack! If you are "no Lewis and Clark" you may want to ride it with someone who knows the way. I was able to follow it, but there were some spots were I was winging it. The trail is poorly marked, but in most spot its obvious to follow. The technical climbs were steep and make this a tough seven miles...BUT A BLAST TO RIDE!!!

Review: This series of trails is definately awesome. However, the trails are very poorly marked. If you are not familiar with the system you will get lost, so allow for time to become unlost.

Similar Trail: Harbison if you want somethimg a little easier, and better marked.

Review: I may be biased, but Lynches is the best in SC. The photo on this site is one of 4 or 5 creek crossings. No extended climbs, but its up and down and side to side all the way around. A few spots for speed, etc. etc. In other words, it has it all. If anybody wants to ride, email me.

Review: twisting singletrack that is crammed together b/c of the limited space. Very cool ride. Maybe 2 miles into it, it branches; go right and there is a short but sweet downhill. not for the meek of heart. it's a 7 mile loop. i didnt see directions on this page, but it is in Newberry, by the interstate and Walmart. ask a local. it is worth the time.
