Description
Unfortunately as of summer 2009, the trails here are only open to those who stay at the Trapp Family Lodge. However if you happen to be staying here, it is well worth it. I was speaking with the guys running the "Outdoor Center" and they believe as they continue expanding the trails they will then open it to the public. As for the trail itself, it starts as an uphill ride for about 2 miles or so, with plenty of switchbacks. There are plenty of trail markers so you cannot really get lost, however don't confuse the ski trails with the biking trails.

Review: Trapps have added 2 new trails (2011), Pipe line and Tap Line. Both are advanced to expert in dificulty and are good climbs or descents thru nice (and technical) switch backs. Great cardio work-outs. All of the lodge trails are well kept and in great condition. It looks like their single track network is about 5 or 6 miles, with additional miles on double track gravel and grassy cart roads. Great place to ride (and stay) for all abilities. The Outdoor Center is also a full service bike shop.* Review edited 8/12/2011

Review: This trail is pretty easy considering they name it as their toughest trail. Though you must keep in mind this is almost a "family" type place. Throughout the trail, you will catch glimpses of the mountains, and of course plenty of great scenery of pastures. The first half of the trail is switchback type uphill experience, you often cross the ski paths and find that they keep it well groomed. From what I understand they just opened the trail up this year, so it is a fairly new concept to them. They plan on expanding the singletrack even more. If that's not your style of riding, they do have a doubletrack in the general area that is in an open space and has a GREAT view of the surrounding mountains.
