Description: From 505/506, I'd go CCW. The trail is all singletrack and is open to horses and bikes. The northern end, where you are parking, is 95% bike use and the southern end (where the horse trailers park) is 95% horse use. Several configurations to ride as out/back, lollipop loop, or a big loop. Has about 10 miles of 4-5 year old trail constructed by professionals. This is maybe the sweetest stuff, but the old school sections are alot of fun to. More climbing than most of the trails south of here. All in all, a really good ride.

Started at Fell. We rode the entire trail and some of it twice. The old school part down 9 Minute Trail is delicious. Up Little Moab, 518 to 515 has some deep gravel at the top, but then is ok. Once at the lake, it is thick corridor and full of downfall to the metal bridge.
Once you cross the metal bridge, the trail is totally maintained and high quality. All the new school flow style trail here is great. Horses ride on it, and very few gapers ride here to dumb down the trail. The horses keep this trail edgy, I think.
From G to F is another section of old school horse trail that has some challenging pitches in it. And from F to E is a 4 mile, mostly climb, that hardly ever gets steep, but never lets up. It ends with a nice techy section with some personality.
E to D to C has some nice DH runs and creek crossings. The climb from C to the intersection is sweet.
It is hard to say what is the "best out there". The locals love the flow trail that goes from C to G and from G to metal bridge. But I think what makes them not get tired of just the flow trail is the perfect mix of old school trail as well.
When this trail is right, it is the best ride on the Long Cane District, and maybe in the state of South Carolina.
