Review: This trail is absolutely amazing! Today was my first time riding it and I loved the incline and declines. The roots suck but that's my only complaint.

Review: Rode the beginner part of this trail today after being badly disappointed by the trail in Monroe, This is my new favorite trail, The signs along the trail are easy to follow, can't wait to get back out there and check out the advanced portions of the trail.

Review: Last rode here in September 2012. Nice camping facility, can ride out your tent door and be on the trail. Trails are well-marked, with a nice variety. Good switchback climbs, fast descents, smooth and flowy.

Review: Road this trail today and its my favorite in this area hands down. Has one very nice fast down hill that's nice and smooth for this area. I will be going back ASAP. Only thing I wish it didn't have would be all the roots.

Review: Like a couple of others have said, it's worth the drive for most, seeing as we don't have a mountainous area down here. Good blend of ups and downs, and some great technical spots. Little creek crossings here and there and some fun little downhills at times. Great for a weekend get a way from the house. Have fun on this trail, because it is fun!

Review: Ive read some of the reviews and i must say, i really didnt know what to expect on this trail. This trail is not for the novice riders (unless you stay on beginner trail). I rode the entire trail on March 31st of 2012, and i will say it is a very tough trail at times! It has some killer climbs! It has some extremely fast downhills too!! All in all i will say this is a GREAT trail! Definitely a must ride! You will get a workout!

Review: Have completed this trial a little over 5 times now in the past couple months and I must say it's one of my favorite in La. Has its technical and some good jumps laid out. With what looks like a new dirt jump area being installed right now. Trail is marked well with signs, just beware after it's covered in leaves. Can get confusing at some points. Otherwise, great trail and I recommend to anyone!

Review: Worth the drive from the highway and dealing with road construction! I was told that this is the site for the TX state championships (thought I was in LA???)! Easy flowing singletrack with some moderate climbs, good place to initiate the novice looking to get into singletrack riding.

Review: Just rode this trail a day after it rained and it drains very well no really slick spots. Very well taken care of and marked off so no worries about poison ivy or getting lost. they have a begginer trail (4 miles) and a XC trail (10 miles). the XC trail was amazing with great down hill speeds 30+MPH and really good climbs to. The trail snakes its way through the Lincoln parish park and has beautiful scenery. If you're looking for a adrenaline rush or just a great work out give this trail a run.

Similar Trail: I've ridden all over the country and louisian and this is the best trail that louisiana has to offer, another trail close to this one is the Bodcau trails in Bossier City this is only about 7 miles and is a little slower and more narrow.

Review: Let me say this about that. I rode it yesterday b4 the rain w/ the designer / builder. Great trail. His trails reflect his motocross background leaving maybe 2 lines around a feature like a root garden. Roots and downhill? You guys have lots to ride. Me, I am Mountain Biking the states and, as of Louisiana, I have ridden in 38 states some 175 rides. What you rate is relative to what you ride. Trail built in 92 and is very sustainable. Many places there is red clay overlay that when cured is like concrete. Closed when wet. Is this a trail i would ride again if I could stay? Yes. It is what it is and James did a great job squeezing 10 miles of advanced riding in an area roughly .5 X .75 miles big. Easy rating is per IMBA but it is not an easy trail that is a push over.

Review: I have not rode here in about a year, but I rode it quite often when I lived in Loiusiana years back. This is a very awesome ragin cajun MTB trail! Making plans on visiting friends in Thibadoux, so I will get another opportunity to ride it again. Something for every one of all levels but does have some very technical sections.

Review: I first road this trail when I was a student at LATech. There were and still are a bunch of roots. However, the park has really done a nice job trying to make the really bad places a lot better to ride. They have added a series of retaining walls and filled in the areas around the large "rooty" areas with packed dirt.

Similar Trail: Supposedly, the trail at Tyler State Park was designed by the same guy who did Lincoln Parish Park. It's a great ride that gets more challenging as it goes along.

Review: I grew up riding this trail. Some great technical woods, by far the best trail in the state. Watch out for Tomack!

Review: This is a great trail. Level of difficulty depends on how hard you ride and how many laps you do. The roots can drive you mad. Perfect for races & time trials. I've ridden it more times than I can count which can get a tad monotonous, which begs the question. Can we please get more trails up here in Ruston! By the way some video of races @ L.P.P can be found at www.pedalmasher.com as well as video of other nice rides and races around the U.S.

Similar Trail: There are some good trails around Shreveport and Minden,LA. also Tyler, TX, all relatively close to Ruston. I've heard of several trails around Alexandria, LA, but haven't been yet.

Review: The ttrail is about ten miles long and very challenging. The majority of the trail is tight technical riding with several very difficult uphill climbs as well as fast but rough downhills. There are few rocks but plenty of washed out roots and several water crossings to make the ride a challenge. Overall a great trail that bigginers could handle most sections of but still gives veterans a run for thier money.

Review: Great ride!! The trail is good for beginers and experts alike, and by the way dont hit your brakes going down Tomak hill. Some of us have to learn the hard way.
