Description
From Gardner Canyon parking cross road and trail is uphill 200 yards and down thru canyon, tricky crossing and back up the canypn's other side. You leave the stream gradually climb back to it thru a Flume trail built over a century ago. Kentucky Camp is a rentable restored old house built that caters to hikers and mountain bikers.

High grass and oak hills. Always water in stream. Trail is often ridden to second stream crossing but continues to wilderness boundary and beyond.

Review: great trail...there is actually two routes you can take. I stayed north at the Y and looped back arround. Its a pretty fast singletrack, the trail is also pretty decently makred.

Review: If starting in Fish Canyon near Kentucky Camp there will be climbing and descending the 4 miles to Gardner Canyon. If starting there and heading south, you'll cross a small canyon and gently climb to the 2 mile section of twisting, almost flat trail to the wilderness boundary. This is an IMBA Epic ride and Arizona Trail.
