Description
I really don't have much to compare this trail too but i think it's great good tight switchbacks hills and variety. Make sure that you get to the east side of the trail over the river, there is a DINO race here twice a year and are supposed to expand the trail system early in 2004.

Review: This was my first attempt at a black diamond trail and I LOVED it! It is very well marked, but even with that can be confusing to navigate your first time. Look at the trail map ahead of time and skip the parts that are really hard (Rich's Revenge, Bobal Ridge, and Roller Coaster) if you aren't up for the challenge. There are plenty of short cuts so you can go around. This trail is a lot more of a technical workout then an aerobic workout; has the most variety in a trail that I've seen yet. Watch out for sand on parts of the trail; makes it a little harder to control the bike, but makes the ride a lot more fun.

Review: Don't let that Black Diamond rating to scary you - nothing super crazy here. But this trail is FUN and fast. There are obstacles which are doable and also East Side is a nice warm-up or family ride. There's something for everyone here and mostly twisty trail with some switchbacks. Once I've got an idea about this trail, I was flying over it. :) I had no idea there are such fun trails in Indiana could exist. Will deffinatelly ride here again and again.

Similar Trail: Nothing really similar in Chicago area. Maybe Palos?

Review: There are some tough climbs here. None the less, it is a fun ride and worth your time. I rode it when i first started and it was fun then even with having to hike the bike occasionally. I am sure it would be a blast now that i have improved.

Review: They put hills in the worst spots!! This is a trail that will make you sweat. A lot of different kinds of obstacles and some steep climbs that seem that you can't get enough momentum. Great and challenging trail. I'll go back when I put clipless pedals on my bike. So many times my feet went flying off causing me to almost ghost ride the bike. My legs were happy when I got back to the parking lot and the pain stopped. The course is marked well where there are short cuts, if you choose to wuss out.

Review: 1st Ride ever and I got more than enough thrills on Dark Side. The bugs are a bit bad but that helps you to keep moving. The Dark Side has everything a rider could ask for with the option of skipping the things one may not prefer. Also a long paved trail.

Review: If you like to sit and spin you won't like this trail. If you like to drop the seat an inch or two and hammer you'll love these trails. Front side trail is the easiest till you try to ride it fast. The Dark Side trail is a never ending blast. Like logs? Log Jam Loop will give you your fill. Want Fast and flowing? Rich's Revenge , See what gives first, tires or legs. Like it steep? Roller Coaster Loop. All the loops branch off the main loop so can be bypassed, missing all the fun. Also a short practice loop for the kiddies.

Review: this trail is broken up into 2 sections: the front side, and the dark side. the front side is and easier 3.3 mile ride with good technical components, and some great singletrack riding. the darkside is more difficult, consisting of more technical turns, hills, bridges, roots, and a few jumps. The dark side trail is 6.6 miles long. Over all riding both the front & dark side makes for an excellent after work ride (or before work if you live close enough).

Review: Tight, twisty, singletrack with steep but short elevation changes. Has some log crossings, but otherwise not a very technically challenging trail.

Review: Very technical, prepare to push, try not to die. Some sections too narrow for a bicycle tire.

Review: I have been coming to Imagination Glen for a few years now. I started with an 04' specialized hardrock and this year updated to a trek x-caliber. These trails have levels of difficulty for all and are marked well for which trails you would like to experience. For the beginners, there is a nice flat trail along the river that flows through the trials, the river actually divides the more difficult trail. Beginners on one side, and then intermediate/advanced on the other. There are also warm up trials as soon as you pull into the park(located on the left side). The trails are properly marked "more difficult" and "most difficult" along with the distance traveled. Honestly, I believe even the beginners can tackle the "most difficult" if you have the endurance and drive. I have brought a few beginners along with me and they were able to complete the trail, the only thing holding them back were the equipment they were riding. There are also posted shortcuts if you get too tired to finish the circuit.

When you first pull in there is a large post board that marks the trials, there is also a box that usually has brochures that marks the trails you can take as you go. Once you are in the trails there are also small post boards marking where you are. These are usually located where the trails divide.

Overall these trails have it all for all difficulties, You'll come across uphills, downhills, bridges, planks, small jumps, logs, log jumps and other obstacles. But if you were looking for some extreme trails with areal bridges and big jumps, this isn't the place for you.

Also, for those of you who enjoy paved trail cycle riding, there is a paved trail that leads for miles that connect you to the trails
