Horseshoe Bend Park offers sweeping vistas of the Delaware River Valley, rolling hills, forested ravines and pristine streams, and offers habitat to many wildlife species. The 552-acre park, to be jointly owned, managed and maintained by Kingwood Township and the NJ DEP Division of Parks and Forestry, offers a venue for horseback riders, hikers, mountain bikers, bird watchers, and others who favor the peace and tranquility of nature. It includes a 10,000-square-foot event center, leash free dog area, and seven miles of trails. From Route 202
>Take US-202 to the traffic circle that intersects with route 202, route 31, and route 12.
>Exit the traffic circle onto route 12 west and continue on route 12 west for 8.5 miles. Be sure to stay on 12 when crossing the 3 subsequent circles after route 202.
>Turn left onto Kingwood road (Hunterton County route 519 south) at The Corner Store and continue south for 1.3 miles.
>Turn right onto Spring Hill road and continue 1.7 miles until it terminates at the Horseshoe Bend Park parking area.
Note that missing the turn onto Kingwood road or Spring Hill road is okay. Horseshoe Bend touches the park and connects Kingwood road and Route 12 and intersects Spring Hill road. If you miss either of those turns just continue to Horseshoe Bend road.
