Description: Single track is in southwest corner of park. Getting to the single track requires a short ride on multiuse trails or roads. Riders looking for a longer route or a scenic ride in he park can start from various areas and distances from the single track. There are (3) single track loops, easy, intermediate, and hard. Intermediate and hard are both offshoots from the easy trail. As of July 2010 the hard was under construction. The trails ride pretty fast and intermediate has some additional technical sections. When adding multiuse to your single track ride it creates some variety and difficulty, especially with the high point in the Windfeldt trail system.

Trail is nicely cleared and maintained. The trials are mostly sand with some pretty good flow. There are few spots in which obstacles are put in the middle of a nice down hill and require you to slow to almost a stop. Other times you get to the bottom of the hill about to go up the next an carry your speed and there is a sandy corner. Seems they have a problem with ticks though, so wear some repellent.

Just rode this trail, only time I got to it so far this year. Hard is now complete and open, it rides similar to the easy and intermediate, only with some longer climbs and some larger obstacles. Only complaint was that it didn't seem like you are rewarded much for climbs except for at the very end...due to the sandy soil. The complete trail system is about 7 miles now with more miles of double. It runs fast with root, some rock, and man made obstacles. No real switchbacks or technical "trail" like you may encounter at Nordic Mountain or some of the trails at Standing Rock. Due to all the rain in July there are some areas where you have speed and the trail is muddy on unbanked curves, so watch out. I have to say that I have never encountered another human being on these trails between 5+ rides on them...where is everyone?!
