Description
Single track is in southwest corner of park. Getting to the single track requires a short ride on multiuse trails or roads. Riders looking for a longer route or a scenic ride in he park can start from various areas and distances from the single track. There are (3) single track loops, easy, intermediate, and hard. Intermediate and hard are both offshoots from the easy trail. As of July 2010 the hard was under construction. The trails ride pretty fast and intermediate has some additional technical sections. When adding multiuse to your single track ride it creates some variety and difficulty, especially with the high point in the Windfeldt trail system.

Review: I am grateful for this trail. Being from Oshkosh and having no local trails, Heartman is definitely well worth the drive. Not too tough but some fun sections.

Review: Great single track system. Not especially technical as my 9year old daughter completed all the trails with a 24" wheeled Gary Fisher pre caliber with only a few dismounts. The dragons tail was great. We had to go over it a few times each.

Review: Very nice trail system. I think there is close to 13miles of trails total with three different levels of difficulty. Trails starts at the easy section which is very rolling a flowy. Some smaller hill climbs with low grades. Smooth trails with little roots lets you carry a lot of speed but there is plenty of tight twisty turns to maneuver. As you progress to the intermediate and difficult sections the trial has longer hill climbs faster down hills some very nice bench cuts plenty of small log jumps a huge huge dragons tail. The trails are well groomed by the state park personal and the there is some signage. Pack your swim suits to hit up the beach when your done with the ride. Also nice shower facilities in the park to rise off.

Review: Trail is nicely cleared and maintained. The trials are mostly sand with some pretty good flow. There are few spots in which obstacles are put in the middle of a nice down hill and require you to slow to almost a stop. Other times you get to the bottom of the hill about to go up the next an carry your speed and there is a sandy corner. Seems they have a problem with ticks though, so wear some repellent.

Review: Easy is currently VERY fast with the dry conditions as of 7/9/12. Watch out for some sandy corners when trying to carry the speed. More difficult and Very difficult trails have more climbs and obstacles (natural and man made). Some sandy sections and obstacles can keep the speeds down, but the last 25% of the Very difficult is super quick. New dragon tail was cool and not something you find elsewhere in the area. Very well marked trails.
