Description
Gashouse Gulch is about 5 miles long and it runs from the Baldy Trail, past the Gashouse Gulch trailhead, and then down back towards the other end of Baldy. Some sections of Gashouse are smooth and flowy, some go up, some go down, and some are full of amazingly chunky rocks (one of the most technical trails at Buffalo Creek aside from Blackjack). This trail is really a mixed bag, so it is hard to pin it down, but one thing is for sure: You need to ride it!

Review: Only one really tech spot that may cause a few people to walk. Fast and very straight in most section. No nearly as sandy as other trails in the area. Did this down with baldy up.

Review: Rode Gashouse up after a recommendation that it was better to ascend this trail and come down Baldy. Used it to connect over to Miller Gulch and back out Strawberry Jack after blasting down Sand Wash. Not a bad climb honestly, a little tech to keep it fun, and a nice mid-section between lower and upper climbs.

Review: This trail is a blast, especially downhill. One of the most fun experiencing I have had on a mountain bike (so far...I have only been biking for a year). I recommend taking Baldy uphill and then riding Gashouse downhill. One note about the difficulty while there are a few features on this trail that definitely rate a difficult rating there is a good amount of space in-between them. Most of the trail I would rate Intermediate so if you are newer to Mountain Biking as I am don't let the difficult rating dissuade you from giving it a try (Just control your speed). Review: I accidentally missed this trail on my most recent ride at Buffalo Creek, and I was very disappointed. IMO, this is one of the better trails in the trail system, and I would much rather have ridden this trail instead of Baldy (which we decided to ride).
