Description: There are actually three loops you can ride here. The North loop, South loop and riding the trail along the perimeter of the park you can do the outer loop which is a combination of the previous loops. The main trails are wide and have no technical merit to them at all. There are some unmarked singletrack trails off to the side, but they don't appear to be "official" trails so I'm not sure if its legal to ride them. Some small hills on the Sothern loop with a couple very nice views of Pike's Peak still make this a fun ride. Nice place for a family ride. Do watch out for horses and hikers. Great place in the Winter for cross country skiing.

This is a good trail with spurts of climbs and fast down hills. Since I started on the left side of the trailhead on this map, I was climbing more (and man, there were some steep ones). Next time I will definitely start from the right side where more of the fun will be. It was a little damp which kept me from sliding because there are some loose areas I noticed. It was a good ride overall and definitely going back.

Pretty straightforward on the main parts- some hills can get a little steep and sandy. I've done this a few times just because its close enough to bike to and from my house. There's nothing bad about this trail though, its just easy. There are a couple of trails not listed on the map, and that's where the more fun is. There are 'legal' trails off on the northwest side of the trails, which are probably the best trails to ride on. These are trails that lead into the neighborhood nearby, so you'll have to eventually turn back when you hit road. Five miles doesn't sound super short, but in the easy terrain and lack of technical sections, you'll go through it fast. The neighborhood trails are a great way to add some time to this trip. This isn't really a trail that I'd recommend traveling out of town to see, but if you're in town, its a easy little track to get some riding in.

Really nothing of interest here, even for the novice rider. Good for those who just want an easy ride without any challenges. I gave it the second star because the ponderosa forest is very nice.

Similar Trail: I would recommend nothing similar although Black Forest Regional Park, Cathedral Pines and Black Forest Section 16 will provide almost the same experience.

There are some nice trails in the park. Nothing extreme and it is relatively flat but good for a beginner like myself!

Great for laps. Smooth and fast.

This trail is a "stroll in the park" kind of trail. I have gone here a couple of times when I ride with my toddler or other kids. It is better than being on the couch, but not a ride for enthusiast. If you are taking the family (young kids), then its nice.

It was real nice being in the woods, almost a secluded feeling. I had to walk my bike up 2 of the big hills, more practice and I bet I can lick em! The downhills were very rewarding. Real pretty and a lot of fun. Watch for dogs and their human counterparts, there are lots of them.

Really enjoyable ride. Trail is wide & well groomed, but not boring; it winds & rolls through the trees with some good hard climbs and fun fast descents. Be prepared for loose sand in some of the curves. This is a good trail for new riders to get practice & conditioning. Saw plenty of hikers and dogs, so ride responsibly.

I'm not sure anything in Colorado is built for true beginners, especially 49 year old transplants from an altitude of 600ft. It is fun though and the trees keep the wind from being too much. I will be back.
