Description
All trails are to be ridden counter clockwise. The Fort Harrison Mountain Bike Trail system is broken down into three trails ranging from easy to advanced. The beginner trail is Camp Glen and is an approx 1 mile loop located on the furthest west section of the trail system. The intermediate trail is called Lawrence Creek trail and is connected to the Camp Glen trail and is approx 3.5m long. The advanced trail is called Schoen Creek and is about 3.5 miles long. You can get to this trail either by taking the connector off the intermediate trail then turn right on Glenn Rd. then left on Trailer Court Rd to Schoen Creek trail. Parts of this trail are built into the sides of hills and have pretty good drop-offs. The trail system is very well maintained and would be a great afterwork ride. Total time for all three trails is about 1 hour. There are three trailheads and all are highlighted on the maps that you can pick up at the park entrance. I rode aprox 9.25 miles which includes the road riding from one trail to another.

Review: Very nice system of trails that total around 10 miles. The newer section of Lawrence creek is a ton of fun and you can really fly down the trail. There are a few technical sections but nothing difficult. Sweet trail though. Be careful as well because the trails are multi-use.

Review: Best trails in central Indiana. There are two different loops each presenting the rider with different challenges. They did the best they could with the terrain the park has!

Review: Rode the Schoen trail. Fast smooth single track with a few small logs to go over. Rolling hills, nothing difficult. Beginners might be a little intimidated by the dropoffs where the trail sidehills. Lots of hikers so play nice!

Review: Schoen trail is one of the older trails but is a ton of fun. The newest trail is Lawrence Creek and it is not completely finished yet but it is a very fast paced trail with some difficult log crossings but I feel is much better than the Schoen trail. Then there is camp glen trail which is the easiest trail at the fort there is nothing that could cause damage to even the cheapest of bikes (like from walmart) but if you need a cool down lap and are a skilled rider it would be perfect for that.

Review: Schoen Creek: intermediate trail with fun obstacles and nice flow. Decent climbs for Indiana, no rewarding descents though. Log crossings and a cement block obstacle makes it a bike and hike for the non-experienced MTBr There's an easy loop that is maybe a littlw over a mile thats great for beginners, and branching off of that is a new trail thats twice as long as Schoen and a very challenging ride. Great flow. Excellent downhill sections and plenty of technical sections to challenge the experienced rider and work on skills. By far the best trail in the park.
