Been riding since July 2011 and found the intermediate trail to be a good challange with a little bit of everything.

This is a great trail system, with alot of variety. There is something for everyone here from beginners to advanced riders. great climbs and descents. Great Flow, and is worth a visit.

Have rode these trails at Dauset many times, (live nearby). Many trails to choose from with a decent amount of variety in elevation changes, fast downhill on Pine Mountain and great scenery especially at Sandy Creek. Hardly any crowds, even on the weekends. Signage is ok but trails can be a bit confusing, so make sure you pick up a map at the parking lot.

Yet another SORBA trail that is a must ride. Three trails of various lengths, 3 mi 10 mi 17 mi. Clearly marked with green blue and black arrows placards on the trees. Only had about an hour to ride, but the green trail was smooth flowing, with proper radius turns and the occasional whoop dee doos. TH had maps, and following the trail placards was a breeze. I saw numerous deer, that just stood by and looked at me as I screamed by only 15' away. Some hills and climbs, but hardly lung busters, on the green routing. This is a good ride for if your with in a couple of hours of this place.

Ok , where to start ? Rode it yesterday for the 1st time only my second time on a "real" mountain bike trail and was blown away , the single track was awesome . We hit trail after trail , loved the uphills through rock gardens , I'm addicted ! Some great elevation changes depending on which trail you pick and some "moving" bridges, according to my girlfriend anyways.... great single track action , plenty of rocks and roots and climbs make it a instant favorite to me , a real challenge to this newbie , Brakes were screaming by the end of the day , worth the trip!!! I had to add a quick edit after riding the Huff and Puff section last weekend. If your not familiar with your bikes and your own abilities pass this up until you feel confident about both . Plenty of great trails still to ride at this location to enjoy . With that being said , What a ride ! Seriously insane climbs up rocks and roots, dodging trees, steep ledges ,and great drops , not a lot of room for error , take it slow at first and enjoy.* Review edited 7/17/2011

Great trails that are well maintained and great scenery. Indian Springs SP and High Falls SP are there so you can make a weekend of it. I rode the intermediate and there were plenty of technical sections. Signage is pretty good but take a map at the front just in case.

Great trail you can make a weekend of it. The trails are broken up so that anyone from a novice to single track junkie can enjoy it. Even if you are traveling a good distance you can stay at Indian Springs State Park for pretty cheap. From tent camping to cottages. Indian Springs is even building a connecting trail. (Not ready as of 10 May 2011), but it is great, especially if you have a family that does not ride with you. I rated the trail right in the middle, but it really goes from Easiest to hard.

Wonderful trail broken into three different lenghts. I am new to trail riding and Dauset offers the perfect design for beginners. Based on the comments from other riders, Dauset also provides experienced riders an excellent outlet as well. Great crowds on the weekends!!!* Review edited 2/14/2011

I'm new to mountainbiking... got all nutty and bought a Cannondale at REI about 4 months ago and have been to Dauset probably 6 times. It's 60 miles from where I live in Atlanta, so I bought a Pop-Up Camper so I can stay at Indian Creek State Park 5 mins away and bike for several days at a time. This past Thanksgiving Day, I biked for almost 4 hours straight (Alot more fun than sitting around with boring relatives watching crappy football on TV!) Anyway, it has plenty of trails for me... I usually do a big loop that takes me about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then I head back to the camper for a break, then out again in the afternoon. I've been to Tsali Trails once in N.C., which I thought was mountain biking heaven, with the views of the lake. That's a 3 hour drive though.

Great workout. Love the huff and puff section. Have a friend who works there and he told me was named after guys who designed it, not how hard it is. Lots of different skill levels. The only down fall is there are no air opportunities, at lest not safe ones. But worth the trip.

Not quit sure what the previous post was thinking. It's a mountain bike trail. Hello! There's gonna be roots, rocks, lions, tigers and bears oh my! Ok maybe not lions , tigers and bears, but you get the picture. Go to Siver Comet if you want a smooth ride. These are very well maintained and offer something for everyone. Not the most technical trails and certainly not black diamond statues, but if you run the loops enuff times around you will get a workout for sure. Dauset holds SORBA events here so they must be doing something right.

ok...where to start...ugh. I was so looking forward to this trail based upon the reviews below... but it was definitely not what I expected. I was disappointed to say the least - other than the short 'beginner' sections, I thought the trail was barely rideable... so many roots... a few rocks... and did I say roots... It was definitely an aerobic workout, I did quite a bit of hiking up and down root covered trails. The scenery was beautiful, but did not help me get over the 'beat up' feeling I had from riding 10 miles of this...

i've been wanting to ride this trail since i started riding back in march. so yeah, i'm a newbie. got the chance to go this past saturday and it was awesome! very well maintained, good scenery, couple of descent technical climbs, and i stayed away from huff n' puff. but like everyone else has said so far, it's an awesome trail for central GA.

reviewed by GoldenGoose on February 28, 2010

I was pretty surprised by this place. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting to find in central Georgia. There were a decent amount of flat section, as I had expected, but there were also lots of punchy climbs and a decent amount of rocks in certain sections. Trails are in pretty good shape as well. The elevation changes reminded me a bit of Ft Yargo but the trails didn't snake and twist the same.

My favorite so far! Starts easy so you get a good warm up. It has variety of up and down hill making it challenging aerobically but also fun! Well marked, easy to get to. I have not gone on the Huff N Puff yet but plan to.

Great trail. It's my favorite at the moment. I just started and it's great to learn and build on. It has beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails. 17 miles worth of trails.

Similar Trail: I don't know of any at the moment except The Beach in Jonesboro, Ga.

Great beginners trail. More trail riding than mountain biking. Very fast with little or no climbing. The Huff n' Puff is fun. I rode the whole system in about 2 1/2 hours.

Wow! The first time I went to Dauset was when I was just getting started mountain biking and an old bike combined with all the roots made even the short loop be a pretty misreable experience. I rode there today and did the "advanced" loop. It was very well marked and a great ride. The advanced one ends up being about 16 miles but only a few spots are technical. It's mostly lots of up and down elevation changes. Highly recommended for a not-too-tough semi-epic ride.

Nearly enough trail to qualify as a mini epic. I strung the complete system together for nearly 12 miles of fun, challenging single track. Exceptionally well marked and maintained, many options for shorter rides. Not much in the way of obsticles, mostly because of the multi use aspect of this trail, yet still wonderfully entertaining trail, great for anyone in the area

This Trail system is Close to me so I ride there alot. It is a great place to get in shape and to take new riders. It also has just enough techincal stuff for the advanced riders to have plenty of fun on. I have ridden this trail pretty much from when it was built and keep going back...

Excellent trail system!!! Rode it for the first time 2 days ago and haven't stopped thinking about the place. Like previously mentioned, there's plenty of trails and some for every skill level. We put in about 18 miles and was told that there's alot more that we didn't ride. This was my first singlespeed ride as well. With small to moderate sized climbs, this place is perfect for SS. I'm very impressed by this place. It also has a zoo, a fishing pond, a petting zoo, campgrounds, cabins, foot-trails, horse trails. I plan on taking my family there for spring break.

This is the most fun you can have on a bike. The trails are fun and challanging but they keep you motivated to keep moving. There are different trails for every skill level. Definatly a trail any mountain bike should check out.

My favorite! I try others, but keep coming back. Last weekend I went to another trail and was so disappointed, I left and drove 150 miles to spend the afternoon at Dauset. Everyone I introduce to it feels the same.

A fun place to spend the day. So many trails and they all connect so you can piece together any kind of ride or length you want. Fast flowing singletrack; rooty and rocky climbs; riverside speeding.....The trail has everything. Loved it.

Nice little trail system. Nice Park. Take my daughter in her Chariot Cougar trailer on a lot of the non-technical trails... Plenty to do for the day with the whole family

This is my favorite trail in all of Georgia. It is super fast and fun to ride. It has a little something for everyone. My favorite route is starting on Moonshine to Fern Gully up to Turkey Trot then Pine Mountain (fast downhill with some potential air), then Sandy Creek to Huff n Puff then out to the parking area on Bootlegger. This is on private land provided out of the land owners generous heart. Please respect his rules. NO DOGS. This is a nature preserve.
