DescriptionThe area as a whole is certainly more fun than Hanna, with the trails being a stong-intermediate at best. The two new "bridges" that have been fashioned are very clever, and the jump near the beginning on the east side of Kernan adds a little "fear-factor" for the less-skilled rider as well. Synopsis? : The rolling hills on both sides are great fun as long as your at speed; the one large carpeted hill is a leg-churning endever; the tight areas between a few sections of trees are interesting if you're into them a bit too fast (my left shoulder still aches); and I didn't find the roots to be all that much of a major headache to maneuver around considering what STATE we're in! There are 10 miles of varying terrain out there, though it actually feels more like 4-to-5 when your done. The trails are definitely worth the time it takes to find them all, especially if you live in or around the Jacksonville area. CUDOS to those that have made and try hard to maintain these trails. When you ride, take notice that the newer additions were all made of degradable material and will make no impact on the natural surroundings. The riders here also seem to take out what they bring in, so please respect the area and do the same. Environmental Center
