Description: From the Buffalo Creek trailhead on the Colorado trail, hop on and head right instead of climbing over the fence with the steps, and follow the Colorado trail for about 5 miles (mostly climbing) to the Lost Creek Wilderness boundary. Turn around, and spend almost 5 miles descending back to where you started.

Most of the singletrack in the Buffalo Creek area is very nice. However, the last few miles from road 543 to the silderness boundary is very wide and not that interesting. Then, the dead end into the wilderness is a bummer. If you want more miles without repeating yourself in the BC area, you can combine this with the other fork on Rolling Creek for a few more miles of out-and-back into another part of the LC Wilderness. In any case, there are much better routes in the BC area.
