Description: From trailhead head west, climbing a false flat. After a quick downhill you'll see a small reservoir. Head through the narrow gate and make a loop around the lake, then head back. There is also a short trail from the lake heading west to Indiana St., and a small loop around a tiny lake near the trailhead. This trail is mostly doubletrack or road comprised of either small rocks or smooth singletrack. It's nothing special, but makes for a decent afterwork ride, or a nice place to bring a beginner.

This trail is definately for begining riders, or someone who's just looking for a casual ride. I love bringing my dog with me to this trail because it is also an off-the-leash dog park. It starts out with a gradual climb then transitions to a gentle down hill. After that there is a short climb followed by a pretty fast down hill to the lake. I really like this trail because it is close to town, and is perfect for a quick after work ride.

I tried this trail due to the proximity to my home and because I'm just starting out with MTB. Even as a beginner I thought this trails was just barely ok. Frankly it was quite boring but had it's short lived moments. The main lake was the highlight as it provided a nice foreground to the mountains and was a decent ride around it through singletrack. Other than that not much else to see here. Also, be aware that this trail doubles as an off leash dog park so watch for moving obstacles, though mainly at the beginning, the entire trails is open for off leash dogs.

Similar Trail: Jsut a mile away is the network of trails at Standley Lake. Though nothing too exciting there it is a bit more challenging.
