Description: Currently (as of late 2011) approximately 10 of the proposed 14 mile trail
are in place and ready to ride. Once completed, the trail will be a
multipurpose trail that connects the Cloudland Canyon State Park to the
Lula Lake land trust. Mostly wide doubletrack and old forest roads which
are slowly being reclaimed by nature. A couple of small climbs but nothing
too steep. Be alert for horses and hikers.

This is a solid singletrack trail that adds some real mileage onto the riding in the area. And while it is pretty well-built singletrack, after spending most of the day riding at Five Points it is apparent that this lakes the care and attention to detail found at the main attraction. The trail design on the CCT just isn't as ingenious: it's more of a basic point-to-point trail design. Also, it's immediately aparent when you get off of the mountain bike-only trails and get on the shared use trails. They're just never as good. So while it doesn't hold a candle to Five Points, if you want more singletrack miles, it's there if you need it.
