Description: There are two loops, one on either side of Cliff Cave Rd. When entering the park the loop on the right is about 2.5 miles long, the loop on the left is close to 1.5 miles. There is a connector that is less than a mile long and crosses a creek bed. The right side is double track and has various outlets to neighborhood streets and elementary school fields nearby. The trail is marked very well. The trail on the left is more technical, rocky surface that detours into a scenic spot overlooking the mississippi river. This side also has a steep uphill climb that can be challenging.

This is the closest trail to my house so I ride it often. The Spring Valley loop is great for an after work ride. Just hit it as many times as you can. Then hit the conenctor to the newly expanded River Bluff Trail.. I actually really like this trail especially early in the season to get those legs working...

This place really isnt that much fun. Its actually more interesting riding the flat paved path that is very prone to flooding.

Cliff Caves in general is a really nice park. There is about a 5 mile path that is flat and paved which is a nice warmup. There are also some nice views of the Mississippi and surrounding bluffs. Even more, there are water fountains, bathrooms, etc at the park. As for the trail itself: I rode the one with the cave and creek. (I couldn't find the other trail) At the trailhead, you have a very steep and rocky climb that is quite difficult. You basically ride up to the loop. The loop itself is not technical at all, but is in deep woods and features some beautiful wooded scenery. The trail is easy to ride and you can do it fast. There are a few fun spots, but overall it is a pretty casual ride. This trail at least was well marked and had no traffic. Be sure to stop by the cave on your way out. It is gated off, but is pretty neat. A creek flows out from it and is a nice place to relax. And of course, it is always fun crossing the creek on a bike.

I enjoyed the trail and the park is realy nice. The trail closest to the river is short and the most technical. It has a great view of the river. I actually prefer the longer trail that goes over the cave. It is pretty easy and has some fast tracks to it. It is easy to get lost on this trail.
