Description: The Clear Creek trail is approximately 8 miles long and is physically demanding. It may not look like much, but riders quickly learn Clear Creek isn't for light weights. Clear Creek offers a series of rolling hills, switchbacks, and a few trail obstacles ( small logs ). The highlight of the trail is a switch back commonly referred to as "The Big One" by some local riders. You'll know it when you come across it. Currently, there are plans in the works to add trails that are much less demanding.

TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

This trail was nice, well marked and maintained. I wouldn't advise riding this trail in 95 degree temperatures without taking a gallon of water along :). I just recently rode the trail for the first time and the ticks are blood thirsty and keep your mouth closed because the spider webs are everywhere. The trail head has a information board that gives a detailed map and information about the trail. All level riders can ride the three different lengths loops available. On the expert trail, the climbs aren't too bad and the downhills are fast and fun! Just make sure you are in shape for it. This is easily the one of the best trails in the midsouth area.

Fun XC type trail system. Not very technical IMO Long travel duel Sup. bike way over kill for this trail. Some fast tight spots that made 2.2 tires and 8 in brakes do their thing. A single speed 29er would be great on these trails. Trail is almost always going up or down making for quite a workout. 2 laps had me ready for the showers. 3 loop options and 1 short cut. Full service camping is also available. Great place to make a weekend of it.

Being from the oxford area I have been able to enjoy many local trails, this was by far the toughest. I read where one reader said imposible to get lost but I actually did but it was an easy cut through to the main road has a beautiful view of sardis and some challenging climbs. If your in the area I recommend this trail over all the others. If your not familiar with oxford there are several trails over off of hwy.6 also. (By the whirlpool plant). I'm now living in Southaven so if anyone knows some local trails this way let me know!

This trail is so smooth... I love the way it is laid out. Minimal rocks and roots through this hilly area make this trail fun to ride. I have ridden a bunch of trails around, and this is the smoothest, fastest trail I have ridden in a while. Two thumbs up... definitely ride it if you are in the area...

This trail has been extended to about 13.5 miles. There is also a new trail head. It is so awesome I dream about it. Always rides well, even after a good rain it drains within a day. There are sections to test you technically including switchback climbs, rocks, stumps, and blazing fast downhill. If you are in the area, get some of this, you won't regret it.

I had riden this trail a few times in november on my way going south from Canada and I love it both way. It is demanding and a good ride for serious intermediate as the trail has no real technical-rocky part. Thu the GPS I came up with a total of 1025 feet uphill for the 8 mile track. Cannot get lost, there are milemarkers along the trail. Be careful of ticks, lots of them in the fall. RV camping on the parking of the TH did not seem to be a problem with patroling local police at least in november, for our 3 day stay. For the first timer do not forget your camera, nice view of Sardis Lake. And thanks for all the volunteers that maintain this trail. Jacques.

I love this trail. I should say the day I rode it was July and HOT.. For those of you not from the Oxford area, 92 in Tennessee(where i am from) and 92 in Oxford are not the same.. feels more like 100. The trail is great.. a good hard ride, much harder than I would have expected from that area. If you think you are getting a flat ride, not so. I look forward to getting back towards the fall.

Great trail. Gets a little sandy in some parts. If you get a chace check out the swiming area. Its a great way to cool off after this ride.

This trail is for advanced riders only. The trail is narrow with long drop offs. There are tree stums and tree roots to navigate around. Bring your Deep Woods Off for the mosquitoes and some Calomine Lotion for the poison ivy.
