Description: Brooksvale Park is a nice for the beginner rider but its also the gateway into the Naugatuck State Forest, which has awesome single track, great climbs, and plenty of stuntry. The State Forest was recently logged and some of the trails are now more exposed to the precipitation and can get muddy at times but the variety of trails is awesome.

Difficult climbs with plenty of different trails to explore.

At a family picnic I talked with the park supervisor. he says the the park and the state forest trails are closed to bikes.

Motorbikes and quads have riped up the trails badly. To make a bad morning worse, some traiil improvement work earned me a citation and fine from the forest ranger that creeped up to me. He said the forest is closed to bikes and trail work. I only saw one sign to that effect on my way out. The dude was a pain.
