The Box Lake Trail is 4.7 miles long, and joins the Crestline Trail #109 near Sisters Lakes. The starting elevation is 5680' with an elevation gain of 1863' and a 343' drop from a ridge into the lake. It is a steep, hard climb. The trail makes several crossings of a stream as it passes through meadows. Box Lake is about 3.5 miles from the trailhead. It is one of the larger lakes in the area. To reach the trailhead, drive out to Lick Creek Road past Slick Rock, about 11 miles. The trail begins on the west side of the road. There is a Forest Service bulletin board with information.
