Mountain Biking Bombat Trails

Most the trails here are two track jeep trails. There is no real loop, just a bunch of tracks heading up and down the front of the mountain, connected along the bottom via the main dirt road and irregularly connected on top. Carry a Google Earth sat image to best make connections on the top. The far western edge of the trails/area is bounded by Chuluut Gol (or Am) (Rock Creek or Valley). It has a great two track trail up it. I have listed it as a separate trail here on Singletracks.
Also to do the out and back behind the camp, just politely push your bike through the camp to the back side where you will see a metal gate with just a chain wrapped around it (no lock). This is about 1.5 mi (2.5 km) climb up the mountain to a upper ridge (traveling SW, W, NW). Get to the top, rest and then turn around and blaze back down the mountain.

From the east gate of the city (the Bayan Zurikh Tovchoo), travel 7.8 km on the main road to Nalaikh to the top of a rise. At this little top you will see a large rock maybe five feet in diameter with the name Bombat Amaralt (camp) inscribe on it. Turn right here on the dirt road. Follow this road 3.7 km WSW up the mountain to a little parking area on the left for the camp. From this parking area, you are mostly east of all the trails. You can access the trails on the front slopes of mountain by heading mostly NW along the base of the mountain. You can also pick up a nice out and back just behind the camp.
