Description: This starts out as a dirt road back but about 8 miles back it turns into INSANE single track, with some rather togh situations in some spots. My favrot spots on this trail include the point where the river crosses the path about 10 miles back. there is a pretty sweet hump fallowed by a drop. If you can, try to clear the creek (VERY hard, never doen t myself, although I have tryed). Once youre off the road part drop that seat post freestyle it. Be carful of the blackberry and nettle bushes, though. Theyre rather unforgiving. There are a couple of alternat routes, but the best one isthe one that runs along the river. Also a great jog if your bike is out of commision. Take note of: Horseback riders. Around here (mendo), they tend to be b****y and to think they own the place. Also, IF YOU CAN, get permission to atv back to where the single track starts, or else you'll be spent by the time you get to it;). This is not the smartest place to ride after/durring a big rainstorm, as the river floods almost all the singletrack. Hope to see you ot there!

This was a nice, scenic ride. The graded logging road and mostly level ride are pleasant. Rode the trail in mid-Dec during a rainy week and it drained well. Haven't ridden all the way back to the singletrack portion, but I'm looking forward to it! During nice weather and especially on weekends, watch for hikers, other bikers, and horses.
