Easy, breezy, beautiful, Bay Point trail loop. This is an AMAZING beginner trail, and could really help beginners to learn how to make "good lines." There are about 3 hills to climb, some fun downhill, and even some "jumps" if you want them to be. It's a very quick 4.5 miles with rocks, roots, one bridge (very wide), and 2 gazebos along the way if you feel like taking a scenic look at Chickamauga Lake. Even for experienced beginners, this is only a work out if you do the loop 2-3 times. Still a fun ride.. I saw two deer.

Good Trail for beginners. There are not a lot of technical sections to this small four mile loop, but it is a fun ride none the less.

I've ridden this trail a few times and wasn't that impressed. Don't let me discourage you because I am a glutton for punishment and like to ride at least 10+ miles without retracking the trail. This trail is between 4 and 5 miles unless they have added to it in the past year. There aren't any extended uphill or downhills. There are a few tricky spots and some good scenic rest spots. It just doesn't do it for me, but if you want a nice short scenic ride by the lake go for it. It's muddy after it rains and watch out for poison Ivy in the spring and summer. Not the best trail in Chattanooga, look up the new Racoon Mountain TVA Pumping Facility trail; just ask someone at a local bike shop.
