Description: Plans are in place to create a premier mountain biking trail system in the park.
When completed, five miles of trails will provide a variety of challenges and
opportunities for beginning riders to advanced riders.

well its been built and there are two levels of trails, beginners (which I found
slightly boring) and black diamond (which will def challenge you as a
intermediate rider) Tons of switchbacks and twists and turns and obstacles to
play with. WEAR MOSQUITO REPELLANT because you are riding around
stagnant water and these guys will eat you ALIVE!!!!..

The only trail marked is very easy and takes about 6 minutes. You will spend most of your time riding around the paved road wandering if the unmarked off shoot is a path to a fishing spot or a "trail." If you look hard enough you will find what I believe is designated the "hard trail." It isn't very long and is becoming overgrown. Overall, it looks like somebody started a trail system then gave up a couple years ago.

No flow. Hard to find trailhead(s). Overgrown with weeds--seems barely ridden. I ride a lot all over the country. This is a nice attempt at an IMBA rated singletrack but it doesn't cut the mustard. Intermediate riders will find it very difficult. For DSM, Science Center trails are better overall. Disapointing.

I checked out these trails for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The trails are technical, tight turns, hills nice views of the lake, ladder bridges and some fast down hills. The part that sucked was finding the trail head. There are a couple of spots to find a trail head, the easiest is got down shooting rang at the end of Elk. there is parking lot right before you enter the gate. Park there and there are 2 trail heads here. The others I found are off the roads around the lake. But once you're on the trails they are well marked for blue and black trails This is a fun set of trails that once your on is well marked. Check it out, just wish it was longer.

This trail was a lot of fun i am just getting into this type of riding and i had some really fun but technical areas not to much mud considering it is located around a pond lots of hill and a few small drops i will be returning to this trail often

Apparently it just opened and the trails look pretty new and freshly groomed. They have intermediate to beginner, I had a blast there and its alot of fun and challenging. not too many hills to climb so a SS will do you well here.
