Review: Sweet rolling singletrack and probably most popular in Buffalo Creek.

Review: Baldy is a narrow singletrack that climbs about 900 feet in the 3 miles of trail - a pretty gradual climb for the front range. The surface is mostly the crushed gravel that's typical of buffalo creek. It's easy to avoid most spots where there the sand/gravel gets deep enough to steal your climbing momentum. The trail winds thru the woods, keeping you in the shade most of the way so it's easy to stay cool. There are nearly zero technical challenges to grunt over on the climb, keeping the high effort pedal strokes to a minimum. Overall this is a pretty decent way for someone with tired legs to climb back to the top for more descending.

Review: Rode this trail after about 18 miles of connecting other loops and getting lost. By this time, my legs were getting noodleey and I was getting sick of uphills! It isn't so bad considering there were worst uphills on this trail-- Gashouse for example- which we rode part of. You can't complain, uphills are a part of the BC system. You've got to go up in order to go down!

Review: I rode it uphill, so I can't really give it any more than 3 stars... But it was a nice climb; strenuous yes, but I'm sure better than the alternative which would be climbing gashouse.
Next time I'll change up my loop and descend it; seems like it would be a sweet downhill.

Review: Be ready for a whole lot of climbing. There's a decent amount of technical riding, but not all that much. There are some fun rock sections, but your legs will be pretty thrashed by the time you get there. The descents are worth it, though.

Review: This trail is a tough climb with some cool slickrock sections thrown in. However, if you are climbing, I suggest looping around on Gashouse Gulch, and, if you are descending, dropping down Charlie’s Cutoff and Sandy Wash.
