Description: Technical & tight. The trails wind around the hills of Lake Tobosofkee. Continuously going up and down, this trail is sure to exercise the lungs, especially if multiple laps are run. Whoop-de-doos and slalom-like twists and turns will give your arms a full workout. There is a total of 640 feet of climbing.

Entry is free into the Arrowhead Park for mountain bikers. Signs are currently up on the trail, but they are made of paper and will likely degrade. My best advice is to stay on the worn part of the trail, since there are forks and alternative routes. Construction of the trail is excellent, mainly due to the recent work done to the trail during a recent race (August 28, 2005). The trail allows for great "flow".

TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

This place is getting better and better and has some amazing potential. Some parts of the trail flow really well, while others have either climbs, 90 degree turns or trees that just seem to kill your "flow". Trail has markers, but just be ready to climb or bring your 22lb Cannondale w/lefty like most of the local. Arrowhead has amazing potential with the elevation, views and facilities to become a great trail system. I don't ever think the demographics of the Middle GA MTB scene or the LBSs will ever allow or assist Arrowhead to becoming a Blankets or Big Creek.

Just wanted everyone to know that there are now arrows up leading you through the entire trail. Many different ways to ride it and great ride any way you do it. Also it is a great ride at night as well.

We now have about 7.2 miles to ride (and adding). Arrows are up, but better signage will be added later. The trail is more "flowy" now with constant elevation changes that will give your heart and lungs a workout. Best ridden clockwise, following the blue arrows. start at the entrance to the left of the bathrooms.

I had to pay 3 bucks to enter the park. They certainly don't apply the money paid to trail. I had to stop several times while riding the trail because it's not marked and so many forks in trail you end up making circles. This slows your time down and makes for hard hill climbs when you don't know where to go.I didn't even finish the trail due to always ending up where I had just been... The layout of the track made for a slow ride. Not a lot of areas to pick up good speed. Uphill than short drops then back uphill again. I Like the pig trails and LH Thompson a lot better and they are free to ride !!! Would be a better ride if the trails were marked Edit below ****** I went back and rode the trail with a guy who helped buid and maintain the trail and what a different ride this time. It makes a big difference when you know which way to go. They are also putting in new trails. Like I said above- try and go with someone who knows their way around the trail cause it forks off in many different directions along the way...

tight trail with lots of up and downs. This was our third trail of the weekend, and being beginners, we weren't ready for it. The trail was poorly marked when crossing the roads, and it was difficult to find the other side of the trail. We should have known it wasn't the best when we showed up on a perfect Saturday for biking and there was no one in the parking lot.

About 4-5 miles worth of trail are back open here at Arrowhead. From the looks of things the entire south end of the trails were totally wiped out from the tornado back in 2008 but the local SORBA crew and the people at the park have been working hard to get things back up and running. I spoke to the Bibb County engineer while at the park and he said that they have plans to cut another seven miles in the next 90 days. Then SORBA is going to come in and finish off the trails and keep them maintained. Can't wait. Fun trails that reminded me a lot of Dauset, Rock Hawk, and the new stuff at Allatoona Creek. Mostly singletrack but a few sections of old forest road that is slowly being reclaimed. Be advised, the lack of tree cover from the past tornado has helped turn this place into an oven on hot days. Love the north loop around the lake. Super relaxing.

This trail is now open and is a great ride! A lot of up/down and some really nice technical sections. The more riding this trail gets, the better it will be. It has something to offer for every level of rider. Some nice easy trails that follow the shoreline to some good technical climbs on the newer sections of the trail. The first 5 mile loop is completed with plans already underway for the next 5 mile loop section. Go check it out! You won't be disappointed!

Trail is closed b/c tornados ripped it up. In fact the entire park is closed for the time being.

The other review is accurate with the exception of the Park admission policy. Admission is free for current SORBA members. All other riders will be asked to pay $3 per vehicle at the gate.

As others have stated this place has some serious climbing, especially given its location in central Georgia. Most of the climbs are manageable but a few sneak up on you around sharp turns. According to the park map there are more trails than what I was able to ride but it didn't look like there was an easy way to link up to the main trail. Overall the main loop came up just short of 5 miles on my GPS.

Great trail for the advanced beginner or intermediate rider. Good climbs and decents. THe faster you can ride, the better this trail gets. Regular upkeep makes this one of the better trails in the central Georgia area. Definatly worth the $5 to get into the lake property.

i enjoyed the ride. wasn't real technical, but lots of root systems and climbs to help you enjoy your ride. had a real nice part that came right up along side the water. very nice.
