Mountain Biking Arch Hill Reserve

Arch Hill Reserve is a ribbon of grass and hillside bush running along beside the North West Motorway. It is less than 4km from the heart of downtown Auckland.
There is over 3km of really neat singletrack, catering to most abilities. There is an easy trail called "Training Wheels" among trees along the flat beside the motorway. The other trails are benched into the hillside and need at least intermediate riding skills. They're all-weather, hand-made singletrack and lots of fun. Precision riding is required in places.

By car, exit the North Western Motorway at Western Springs, turn right onto Great North Road, right onto Tuarangi Road after about 400m, first right into Wexford Road, first left into Ivanhoe Road and park at the end of it where you'll see the entrance to the Arch Hill Reserve. Follow the walking path for about 150m and you'll see the mountain bike trails map board on your right.
You can also enter the reserve from the Grey Lynn library car park and the ends of Cooper Street and Niger Street.
