I rode this in May 2009. Lots of roller coaster type fire roads. Intermediate level climbs but nearly zero technical riding. Long loop going around the lake counterclockwise along the outside edge starting at the marine and heading toward the golf course and gun range. There are a lot of trails looping off and back to the main outside loop and it is easy to get lost. Bring your food and hydration pack because its a pretty long ride.

Pretty fun if you can get there when it isn't busy.

These trails have a lot of bike illegal single track if your willing to take the risk. The Columbine trail that starts at the top of the main trail is one of the most fun.

About 3500 feet of climbing. The paved path adds a nice warm up. all the climbs are in the 10% to 15% range. Back side around Grassvalley trail gets chewed up by Horses in the wet.
