Review: Was an okay ride, to many hikers. Lots of steep climbs and very unpredictable trail path. I almost ran into other riders and had to literally stop and walk past groups of walkers/hikers. If you want to check it out it wouldn't hurt. But i would not really recommend it, and if you do check it out. It better be early morning on a weekday because you will hate weekends at this place. People everywhere!

Review: Better than many of the trails in the East Bay, as there is a several mile section of the Redtail trail that is actually singletrack. Much of the trails in the park are actually doubletrack, though.

Review: I just rode this yesterday and I was expecting it to be an easy ride. It wasn't too tough at all but it was more of a workout than I first gave it credit for. The ride along the lake is scenic and nice. There a couple of stretches where the climbing is enough to get your heart going. The trail is pock-marked in several portions with hardened horse foot prints. If you have any loose fillings in your teeth, this is where you'll find out. Although this won't be your favorite ride ever, it is enjoyable, it's a decent workout, and you won't be dead tired when you're done.

Review: I rode this in May 2009. Lots of roller coaster type fire roads. Intermediate level climbs but nearly zero technical riding. Long loop going around the lake counterclockwise along the outside edge starting at the marine and heading toward the golf course and gun range. There are a lot of trails looping off and back to the main outside loop and it is easy to get lost. Bring your food and hydration pack because its a pretty long ride.

Review: These trails have a lot of bike illegal single track if your willing to take the risk. The Columbine trail that starts at the top of the main trail is one of the most fun.

Review: About 3500 feet of climbing. The paved path adds a nice warm up. all the climbs are in the 10% to 15% range. Back side around Grassvalley trail gets chewed up by Horses in the wet.
