Animas Mountain Trail is a gnarly 6 mile loop that climbs, up, up, up, then down, down, down. It is pretty rocky, but the views at the top are amazing. Located on the Northwest edge of town, this trail is managed by the BLM and seasonal closures do occur. This trail offers great views North of the Animas River Valley, and South into town.
