Once you reach the dirt road you climb for about a mile, good mix of steep and gradual climbing. When you arrive at the little park that is up there you go around the gate and take the access road up. You will take a short 1/8 mile climb till you get to some serious climbing.
Watch hikers and joggers, it is a wide road though.
