Pros: Price, sturdy, capacity

Cons: Bones 3 won't hold 3 mountain bikes, more like two

Recommendation: The Bones 3 will probably hold three road bikes but not mountain bikes. It works well on a sedan but it cuts into gas mileage greatly

Model/Year: Bones 2/ 2012?

Pros: When i bought this to take my new bike from the bike shop the guy came out and helped me put it on it worked no problem. Was nice and secure with average speed of around 55mph for about a 8 mile drive.

Cons: One of the Crappy plastic tighteners on one of the support legs(which is what holds the bike still) the thread is gone after that one use. It will not tighten and lock into place now.

Recommendation: Going to the bike shop tomorrow as its Sunday to try and get a new plastic screw or ill just return it and get a different brand.

Pros: Fast Mounting
Fast Removal

Cons: Nothing, really...

Recommendation: Great rack. Bike goes on and comes off in a flash. The anti-sway straps are the selling point.

The only issue (and it really isn't one) is that the open ended main pole section makes noise while @ speed. Not an issue, and what else would you expect?

Pros: Very fast to put on and off, lightweight, and bike goes on and off easy

Cons: Rocks can get stuck in the rubber feet and will scratch your car.

Recommendation: Buy it if you don't want to spend as much money on a better rack.

Pros: Lightweight, simple setup

Cons: For a trunk mounted bike carrier, it performs better than most. However, for any person who is serious about riding (drives more then 10 miles to go) you will want something other than a trunk mounted rack. I purchased the 3 bike rack and subsequently returned it. When you are driving, you can a space between the trunk and the mount (meaning the thin straps are holding all the weight.) The other bad thing is that even with cleaning your vehicle before mounting dirt and rocks will get between the car and the pads and destroy the paint on your bumper and trunk

Recommendation: As mentioned above, I returned it. The product is made VERY well and if you do not have money for a hitch mounted carrier, it might be the best deal. Keep in mind, the Saris website itself says you should not drive over 55 with the carrier. SO, it will make for a long trip if you go any distance. I ended up purchasing a hitch for my car and bought a Raxter rack. If you are looking for only a trunk mounted rack, it might get the job done - but keep in mind the only thing between your thousands of dollars of gear and a 55mph road is a cheap nylon strap...
